HIDDEN IN ‘PLANE’ SIGHT As innovation in the fields of computer science and artificial intelligence continue at an exponential rate, technology is simultaneously irrevocably changing the way we live and work. This project seeks to interrogate these factors as catalysts for change in the way we design architecture for the workplace. ‘Hidden in Plane Sight’ breaks away from the restrictive nature of the Innovation District and instead attempts to create architecture that garners innovation in a much more opportunistic and decentralised way.

CURATED INVITRO This project explores the speculation of a high density invitro farm as a response to the climate of an over-reliance of imported food, security and environmental pressures in Hong Kong. Curated Invitro aims to interrogate the opportunities and adjacancies of industrial and civic archetypes and the implications that this might have in a highly populated city.
Hong Kong has practically no farmland
So they import 90% of their food, causing a tremendously detrimental impact on the environment.
Import of food Meat Fruit and vegetables Food stuffs
47% 30% 20% 97%
Embodied energy of food Meat 47% Fruit and vegetables 30% Food stuffs 20% 97%
39% 2% 14%
47% 55% of imported food is meat
39.2 Kg Co2 from meat
39% 2% 14% 55%
In terms of environmental Impact and food security meat is the pressing issue
The focus of this proposal will centre around the Yau Tsim Mong district

One of these towers would be placed within each of Hong Kong’s 18 districts. Each tower supplies its own district.
Each tower plugs into the existing transportation infrastructure, minimising the pollution associated with transportation.
Production from the tower is easily distributed to locations within the district.
The mode by which you blend these things is by creating sealective interfaces, revealing key parts of the process, and concealing others
The invitro process takes stem cells from animals (without harm), places them into bio reactors and then grows them into high volumes of meat.

POOL SCHOOL Partnered with Yarra Pools, this playful project aims to revitalise the underutilised area in Southbank by introducing a public floating pool. The design celebrates the industrial history of the former turning basin and takes inspiration from the buoyancy of ships. The floating pool features two storeys with a lower pool and deck pool that can be used alternatively throughout the year.

TRAVERSAL FIELDS : 2116 Traversal Fields is a proposal that challenges the way people experience and mobilize in the future city of Medini. The future city is a high density environment that flourishes on a zonation of mixed use developments. The mixed-nature of programs act as a catalyst for urban activation. A series of transportation nodes are imbedded into the urban fabric and sprawl across the existing road network. These serve as elevated circulation corridors that enhance accessibility throughout the site and unify different modes of transportation into a single system.
