Site Demographics & Research Zakopane lies in South Poland where tourists and locals venture through the thick forests and trees for hiking and skiing. The Tetra National Park surrounds the town with mountainous views where you may see some furry friends waiting for your arrival. While your stay at Hotel Aura, feel free to enjoy the famous Oscypek Smoke Cheese which can be found in the local markets. This is made from sheep milk and can only be found in this region of Poland. Locals enjoy the many art museums inspired by the scenery and annual festivals with traditional dances and music. The Morski Oko “Eye of the Sea” lake is also a point of inspiration for artist to relax and take in nature .
