Life of Eggs
It all started when Danny began stocking my fridge with hard-boiled eggs to make sure I eat a healthy breakfast even on busy days. As a thank you, I sent him a doodle of one of the eggs with a cat face drawn on it (not shown!). This evolved into a tradition of creating little comics featuring the soon-to-be-eaten eggs on the days they’re consumed. To me, these spontaneous egg comics represent how inspiration can be found in the simplest things and how love can be expressed in so many ways.

Introducing… Sir Cameloupe, Esq. of the Royal Order of Cambodia
The Backstory – If You Can Even Call It That – And The Epitome Of This Par?cular Friendship “So when do you leave for Cambodia?” he asked, fully aware that I was traveling to Taiwan. “Cambodia is like Camelot and cantaloupe and camels. Imagine camels wearing armor eaAng cantaloupes,” I replied. Stephanie Chow
This piece is based on a legend my parents told me about the Maria Cristina Falls. The story is about an orphan that falls in love with a prince, but is cursed by a witch who had already fallen in love with him. The witch turned Maria Cristina into a mountain, cursed to cry for her lost love forever. I took to making my piece to be a literal translation of the story and as a tribute to the stories that my parents gifted me that kickstarted my drive to create and imagine.

For this month's submission, I wanted to showcase the feeling of calmly waiting for the next new adventure. Although I personally cannot travel anywhere yet, I hope to have the opportunity to go somewhere sometime soon. As for now, imagining the next steps will do.

The second issue is here! We made it! They say the first step is always the hardest, but I’ve never found that to be true. When you’re moving with the fire of a newfound motivation in your heart, the first step comes easily. It’s the rekindling of the flame once the initial motivation’s worn off that’s the hard part. And the pushing forward on pure discipline once the flame seems to have gone out that’s harder still. It is here, I think, that we find some of the most profound growth, but without the flame, the journey loses its sense of purpose. The art, its love. I want to thank you for continuing to invest in yourself and in this project. I also want to thank our new contributors for joining us on this journey. Thank you for keeping the flame alive. Let’s keep making stuff!
Happy Spring!
