PUBLIC MEETINGS

The Town of Gravenhurst is seeking individuals to be appointed to the various subcommittees of the municipality for the 2018-2022 Term of Council.

All meetings are held at the Municipal Office, 3-5 Pineridge Gate in the Council Chambers unless otherwise posted. Everyone welcome. Agendas are available on the Town’s website, www.gravenhurst.ca/agendas

Those interested must meet the following criteria: • • • •

At least eighteen (18) years of age; A Canadian citizen; A resident of Gravenhurst; AND Must not be an employee of the Town of Gravenhurst or Gravenhurst Public Library.

CALL FOR MEMBERS - PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD The Gravenhurst Public Library is seeking individuals who wish to sit on the Gravenhurst Public Library Board for the 2018-2022 Term of Council. In accordance with the Public Libraries Act, individuals must be: • At least eighteen (18) years of age; • A Canadian Citizen; • A Resident of Gravenhurst; AND • Must not be an employee of the Town of Gravenhurst or the Library Board. NOTICE OF PASSING OF A ZONING BYLAW Environmental Protection Zone Update TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst passed By-Law 2018-99 on the 27th day of November, 2018, under Section 34 of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.13. The By-law represents an update to the Environmental Protection Zoning Layer of By-law 10-04, for the purpose of bringing it into conformity with the recently approved Official Plan (which established more accurate mapping information). AND TAKE NOTICE THAT any person or agency may appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal in respect of the By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Town of Gravenhurst, NOT LATER THAN THE 27th day of December, 2018, a Notice of Appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and reasons in support of the objection, accompanied by the fee required by the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT). Given the holiday season business hours, the Towns mail will be checked accordingly. Note: Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a Zoning By-law to the LPAT. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf. The complete By-law, including all Schedules, is available for review at the Town Planning Division, during office hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday - until Dec 24, 2018).
