Sorted recycling in clear bags can now be collected from roadside bins. Blue Boxes cannot be used inside roadside bins. Sorted, clear bags only. Sorted recycling cannot be buried under garbage bags. Both must be visible and should be stored side by side, not ontop of each other. Remember - sorted recycling in clear bags, garbage in solid coloured bags.

CURBSIDE COLLECTION STARTS AT 8:00 AM

Waiting for your “usual” time will result in your materials being missed. There is no guarantee that your materials will be collected at the same time each week. Drivers often have to change routes due to construction, weather, mechanical issues, or road issues. Please ensure material is at the curb no later than 8:00am. 7:00 AM COLLECTION: Muskoka Road North from Winewood Road to Bay Street Brock Street from Bethune Drive to Muskoka Road South Muskoka Road South from Bay Street to Bethune Drive

Electronic Waste Drop-Off Electronic Waste (E-Waste) needs special care and will not be collected at the curb. Computers & Accessories, Televisions, A/V Equipment

!

Unwanted electronics should never end up in landfills or in your garbage bag. Most of the parts – steel, glass, copper, aluminum, plastics and precious metals, can be recovered and made into new products. Also, electronic equipment like computers, printers, and televisions can be reused, further cutting down on waste.

!

Environmental Handling Fees (EHF) are charged on the sale and distribution of new electronics regulated in Ontario. Paid at the time of purchase, the fee reflects the program cost to collect, transport and responsibly recycle each electronic at the end of its useful life.

!

When you purchase electronics, these fees cover the cost for making sure the electronics that no longer work or are out-of-use don’t just end up in a landfill, but are safely and responsibly managed for both the valuable components they contain, as well as the substances of concern.
