Gravenhurst Public Library www.gravenhurstlibrary.ca NEW Reading Buddies – Every Saturday at 1 pm – Grades 1-6 – Children are paired with a volunteer to practice their reading and track their progress with a reading passport. Registration required. Family Art Night – Thursday December 1st from 6:30 to 7:30 pm – Bring the whole family to GPL’s Art Night where we will complete family art and DIY projects. Minecraft Club – Saturday December 3rd from 10:30 to 12, Ages 8 – 12. Exchange helpful game tips and complete physical projects that relate to game play plus earn badges for finishing lab quests. Christmas Open House – Wednesday December 7th from 2 to 4 pm. Everyone is invited to this free event! Delicious treats, hot apple cider, a dramatic reading by Dragonfly Theatre and songs of the season. Family Game Night – Thursday December 8th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm – Come out and enjoy some quality family time. Choose from a large variety of games including chess, monopoly, scrabble and more. Mad Scientists – Saturday December 10th from 10:30 to 12 noon – Ages 7 to 12 – Fun science challenges will encourage children to think creatively and critically by using messy experiments to solve problems.
PUBLIC NOTICE TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst proposes to enact a by-law to close, stop up and sell those parts of the original shore road allowance described as follows: That part of the original shore road allowance in front of Lot 26, Concession 4, Township of Ryde, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Part 1 on 35R-25229 (Riley Lake) AND TO SELL that part of the original shore road allowance in front of Lot 26, Concession 4, Township of Ryde, now Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, designated as Part 1 on 35R-25229, to the adjoining owner or owners of them. THE PROPOSED BY-LAW will come before the said Council for consideration at its regular meeting at Gravenhurst Municipal Office, 3-5 Pineridge Gate, Gravenhurst, Ontario on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017, at 5:00 o’clock p.m. and at that time the Council will hear any person or by his Counsel, Solicitor or Agent, any person who claims that his lands will be prejudicially affected and who applies to be heard.
