Starting Thursday July 6 – Lego Club from 1 to 2 pm – Junior Book Club from 3 to 4 pm (registration required) – And at 7:30 pm the Library Activity Tent will be at Cinema Under the Stars in Gull Lake Rotary Park. Friday July 7 – Tech Fun on the Run Lab – 10 am to 12 noon – Join us to explore different technologies included 3D Printing, Green Screen pictures, robots and more. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Gravenhurst. Starting Monday July 10 – NEW Art Adventures from 3 to 4pm for ages 6 to 12 – New art techniques, local guest artists and famous artists are some of the topics to be explored with this series. Registration required. Tuesday July 11 – Special Teddy Bear Picnic Storytime at 10:15 am – Bring your little one to this themed event for story time, sing-alongs and crafts. Wednesdays from 9 to 11 am – Storytime Tent at the Muskoka Steamships Discovery Centre - Join us for stories, crafts, music and games. Wednesdays – NEW Library Survivors from 1 to 2 pm (weekly registration opens the Monday prior). NEW Community Champions from 3 to 4 pm (registration required). Starting Friday July 14 – Discovery Series! From 10:15 am to 12:15 pm for kids of various ages. Topics to be covered include Math to Masterpiece, Designing Disaster Architecture and Coding for Rookies – Registration required.

NOTICE Proposed Amendment to Business Licensing By-law 2005-30 and 2015-57 (Taxis) Notice is given that the Town of Gravenhurst will be considering amendments to the Business Licensing By-law (2005-30 and 2015-57) in order to: Provide for a temporary exemption to the By-law(s) to increase the number of taxicab owner licenses to be licensed in the Town of Gravenhurst to three (3). The temporary exemption would allow a new business “Muskoka Taxi” to operate out of Gravenhurst for a period of approximately sixteen (16) months during which time a comprehensive review of the Town’s Business Licensing By-law will take place. A further report would be returned to Council at the end of the review period. Persons wishing to provide comment on the proposed amendments should do so in writing to the undersigned no later than Noon Friday, July 14th, 2017.
