ROAD CLOSURES - SANTA CLAUS PARADE On Saturday November 26th, road closures will be in effect due to the Gravenhurst Santa Claus Parade. Muskoka Rd from Main St, to Isaac will be closed from approximately 9:30 am untill 12:30 pm. North and South traffic will be completely blocked but East and West cross streets will be open until the parade begins around 11 am. Parking will not be permitted anywhere on Muskoka Rd. from Veterans Way to Isaac St and will be signed. By-law staff will be canvassing the downtown core making businesses aware of restrictions. No Parking signage will be erected on November 25th.

NEW Reading Buddies – Every Saturday at 1 pm – Grades 1-6 – Children are paired with a volunteer to practice their reading and track their progress with a reading passport. Registration required. Star Walk – Thursday November 24th from 6:30 to 8 pm – Join us for a fun night of star gazing as we participate in the #OptOutside Campaign encouraging outdoor activity. Frozen Party – Saturday November 26th – After the Santa Claus Parade (around 1 pm) - Come see Anna, Elsa, and Olaf after the Santa Claus Parade for stories, songs and a craft. All ages welcome. Family Art Night – Thursday December 1st from 6:30 to 7:30 pm – Bring the whole family to GPL’s Art Night where we will complete family art and DIY projects. Minecraft Club – Saturday December 3rd from 10:30 to 12, Ages 8 – 12. Exchange helpful game tips and complete physical projects that relate to game play plus earn badges for finishing lab quests.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO REPEAL DESIGNATION BY-LAW UNDER SECTION 32 OF THE ONTARIO HERITAGE ACT, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst has repealed by-law 84-122 which designated The White/Augustine House, located at 1633 Hwy 11 S in the Town of Gravenhurst, District Municipality of Muskoka, under Section 32 of the Ontario Heritage Act (R.S.O 1990, Ch. O. 18). The By-law to repeal the designation by-law was considered by Gravenhurst Town Planning Council at its regular meeting held on October 18th, 2016. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION is available at the Planning Department in the Municipal office during office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday). Any person may send by registered mail or deliver to the Clerk of the Town of Gravenhurst notice of their objection to the proposed designation together with a statement of the reasons for the objection and all relevant facts. If such a Notice of Objection is received, the Council of the Town of Gravenhurst will refer the matter to the Conservation Review Board for a hearing.
