TOWN NOTICES NOTICE DEADLINE TO APPEAL RESIDENTIAL ASSESSMENTS APPROACHING In 2016, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is updating the assessed values of every property in Ontario. All properties will have a legislated valuation date of January 1, 2016. These values will be used by the Town of Gravenhurst to calculate your property taxes for the 2017 – 2020 property tax years. If you have questions or you disagree with the assessed value on your Property Assessment Notice and/or classification, please visit aboutmyproperty.ca. To sign in you will require your unique Roll Number and Access Key, which are on your 2016 Property Assessment Notice. Aboutmyproperty.ca has information on your property and other properties in your neighbourhood. You can also review market trends for your municipality and file a Request for Reconsideration (RfR) to have your assessment reviewed by MPAC. The deadline to file a Request for Reconsideration (RFR) to have your property assessment reviewed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is November 8, 2016 for residential properties in Gravenhurst that were mailed their Property Assessment Notice on July 11, 2016. WINTER PARKING BY-LAW THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF GRAVENHURST - BY-LAW NO. 2016-92 To regulate and prohibit parking on municipal highways (amending 2008-43)
During the months of November 1st to April 30th, no person shall park a motor vehicle or permit a motor vehicle to remain parked on any highway in the Town of Gravenhurst between the hours of 12:00 am to 7:00 am. The Town of Gravenhurst is hereby authorized and directed to obtain, erect or alter and maintain official signs as are necessary to give effect to the provision of this by-law. This by-law will allow Town operators to provide effective winter maintenance on Gravenhurst roadways for full snow removal operations and improve operational efficiencies.
