Snow is a big part of what makes winter in Muskoka such a wonderful experience, BUT accumulated snow on privately owned access routes and long driveways can make it extremely difficult or impossible for emergency vehicles to access certain properties. Similarly, wet weather can make for icy conditions that make it difficult and dangerous for first responders to work. Please do your part to remove snow and ice accumulations. Business owners – please remember to ensure all interior fire exits are kept unobstructed and kept clear of snow build-up on the exterior.
Happy New Year from your Gravenhurst Firefighters!
