The winter melt is on now, spring is near! Please exercise caution around our lakes, rivers and streams. The arrival of warmer temperatures and rain will begin to melt the snow pack. Runoff from the melt will begin to enter our local water ways resulting in increased river flows and rising lake levels. Significant precipitation and rapid melting of the snow pack can result in a flood event. Town of Gravenhurst officials will continue to monitor conditions with the Ministry of Natural Resources.
