Attention Residents:

Pre-school Storytime resumes Tuesday mornings at 10:15 a.m.

The replacement of the existing culvert under Barkway Road., approximately 0.4km south of Seehaver Road at approximately 1144 Barkway Road is currently underway and anticipated to be complete by October 19th, 2015. A complete road closure during this period is required in order to facilitate construction.

New Program - Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library begins Thursday Oct. 1st at 10:15 a.m. Designed for parents with children age two and up! Five weeks of fun parent and child workshops. Register early as space is limited for this very popular early literacy program.

All residents, or visitors to addresses, equal to 1144 Barkway Road or less and addresses on Seehaver Road will need to use Doe Lake Road for access. All residents or visitors to addresses greater than 1144 Barkway Road or those on Merkley Road, Ben Lake Road, Fire Rte. A1, 4100 Road, Thomas Road and Loft Road will need to use Housey’s Rapids Road for access. Access to all private properties will be maintained at all times. Detour route signage will be in place prior to the closure being enacted. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please note that all Emergency Services, Trillium Lakelands District School Board, Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, The District Municipality of Muskoka and Canada Post have been directly advised of the closure.

TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Gravenhurst will consider a proposed new User Fee By-law pursuant to the Municipal Act and Section 7 of the Building Code Act, 1992.

Travel the World Series starts Tuesday Oct. 6th at 7:00 p.m. and runs each Tuesday throughout the month. Refreshments will be served.

The New User Fee By-law will be effective on or after January 1st, 2016. Members of the public are invited to review and provide comments on the proposed changes to fees and charges. The following information is available in the form of a schedule on the Town web-site www.gravenhurst.ca/userfees and is also available at no cost to any member of the public upon request at the Property Tax counter at the Municipal Town Office: • • • •

The Council Meeting will commence at 3:00pm on October 20th, 2015 at the Municipal Office, Council Chambers 3-5 Pineridge Gate, Gravenhurst.

Any person may make written representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed new User Fee By-law. Written submissions are invited and should be directed to the Town Clerk no later than 12:00 pm (noon) on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015. Written comments received will be considered by Council prior to the enactment of the new User Fee By-law.
