Sparky would like to have the last few words about “serving up fire safety in the kitchen”.
Some things we really want you to think about: Why do kitchen fires remain the leading cause of residential fires in the province of Ontario? If most kitchen fires are preventable, why are they still continuing? Why are there so many kitchen fires when the average time spent in the kitchen is only about I hour a day? Are you still texting or chatting on the phone while trying to prep and cook a meal? Are you still watching television and running out during the commercials to check the stove?
Please answer these questions honestly, and work hard to change the bad habits that could cost you your home. Better yet, it could save a life ….. maybe even yours. And while you are finished thinking about all of the above, test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. For more thoughts and ideas of “serving up fire safety in the kitchen”
