God Is Here

ABBOT'S LEIGH

A Statement of Faith of the United Church of Canada

We are not alone, we live in God's world. We believe in God: who has created and is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit. We trust in God. We are called to be the church: to celebrate God's presence, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Concerns and Celebrations of the Congregation Silent Prayer Pastoral Prayer and Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Draw Us In the Spirit's Tether

Friedell

Chancel Choir Draw us in the Spirit’s tether; for when humbly, in thy name, two or three are met together, Thou art in the midst of them: Alleluya! Touch we now thy garment’s hem. As the brethren used to gather in the name of Christ to sup, then with thanks to God the Father break the bread and bless the cup, Alleluya! So knit thou our friendship up. All our meals and all our living make as sacraments of thee, that by caring, helping, giving, we may true disciples be. Alleluya! We will serve thee faithfully.
