The Potato Drop eliminates so much waste while feeding so many people at the same me. But, my main reason for loving the Potato Drop is that it is a fun way for families, including our youngest members, to share in the opportunity to serve.

Celebra ng a Ministry One of the great honors I enjoy is the opportunity I have to work with the wonderful clergy and staff of this church. They are an amazing group of people who see their responsibili es not just as jobs they are paid to do; but rather as ministries in which they have the privilege to engage. This year, as we do every year, we are se ng aside some me to recognize and honor our clergy and staff for the contribu ons they make to this church.

We are also se ng aside some me at the 10:30 a.m. Tradi onal Service to specifically recognize and honor Simon Jones. A er a very dis nguished career in the Military in which he reached the rank of Command Sergeant Major; and a er having served in the Presiden al Honor Guard, Simon came to work here at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. For the last 27 years, Simon has served as our Facili es Director. At the end of this month, he will be re ring from that full- me posi on, but will be assuming a new part- me role as the Goodwill Ambassador of the church.

Immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service, there will be a recep on in the Fellowship Hall in which you will have an opportunity to let him know just how much you appreciate all he means to you and has done for this church.

On a personal level, I want to thank Simon, and all of the en re clergy and staff for all they do to help advance the Kingdom of God in this place that we call Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Thank you! Blessings,

Dan
