WELCOME TO DUNWOODY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH On behalf of Dunwoody UMC, welcome to our Easter services. We are delighted that you have chosen to worship with us. To our visitors today, know that we are pleased to have you with us and look forward to an opportunity to serve you in the name of Christ. We invite you to join us again for worship on another Sunday. Our services include a Morning Prayer and Communion Service (8:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary), Contemporary Worship (8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall), and Traditional Worship (11:05 a.m. in the Sanctuary). Our Sunday School classes meet during the 9:55 a.m. hour and we can help you find the right one. We also have a full offering for children (ages 6-months – 5th grade) and youth (6th – 12th grades). Our vision as a church is to be a dynamic Christian community of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. As a part of the vision, we hold as high priorities excellence in worship; outreach and mission to the community and the world; biblical, spiritual and relational growth; and a commitment to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that you will find this service to be relevant and meaningful as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection. Blessings,

said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

On This Bright Easter Morn
Phillips
Chancel Choir On this bright Easter morn from sleep’s dark night we ‘waken, our hearts no more forlorn, for Death is overtaken. Eternal morning springs from Death’s dominion, singing “Alleluia, Alleluia!” The stone is rolled away; light streams from all creation. Now dawns that promised day of joyful exultation. Sweet songs of triumph ring! Come, greet the morning, singing “Alleluia!” That garden, choked with thorn since Adam, long lay hidden; Now blooms afresh, reborn by grace and love unbidden. What joy this morning brings! We join the angels, singing “Alleluia!” Let prayer and praise abound; unbound is death’s dark prison. All heav’n and earth resound for Christ the Lord is risen! Praise our eternal King! Rise up and praise Him, singing “Alleluia!” — — Janine Applegate

Crown Him with Many Crowns
DIADEMATA
1. Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne. Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own. Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee, and hail him as thy matchless King through all eternity. 2. Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed o’er the grave, and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save. His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high, who died, eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die. 3. Crown him the Lord of peace, whose power a scepter sways from pole to pole, that wars may cease, and all be prayer and praise. His reign shall know no end, and round his pierced feet fair flowers of paradise extend their fragrance ever sweet. 4. Crown him the Lord of love; behold his hands and side, those wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified. All hail, Redeemer, hail! For thou hast died for me; thy praise and glory shall not fail throughout eternity.
