Once again, we will be mee ng at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia and we will be celebra ng our 151st session together. Our Episcopal Leader, Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson, will be presiding. Last year, at the Jurisdic onal Conference Bishop Sue was elected and appointed to the North Georgia Conference. For the last 9 months she has been ge ng to know the North Georgia Conference, making her mark, and providing meaningful spiritual guidance. This will be the first me we will all have a chance to be together. Our theme for this year’s Annual Conference is, “Show Your Work – Worship That Inspires Ac on”. In addi on to all of the ma ers the Annual Conference typically takes up, there will be a focus on how prayer, reading scripture, prepara on, and collabora on all lead to excellent worship – worship that goes beyond li ing our praises in the moment, and inspires us to live as disciples every day. Annual Conference will be called to order on the a ernoon of June 13, and will conclude on Thursday, June 15. The final ac on of the Annual Conference will be the fixing of the appointments and a celebra on of the sacrament of Holy Communion. As Neal Purcell, the Chairperson of our Staff-Parish Rela ons Commi ee has previously announced, we an cipate that all clergy will be returning to Dunwoody for another year. At the same me, two of our staff members, Andrew Chappell, and Natalee Dukes-Hamby will be commissioned as elders and will be taking their first appointments at other churches. We will miss them, but hold them in our prayers and wish them well. Finally, I want to take a moment and on your behalf express gra tude to those from our church who serve as Lay Members to the Annual Conference. They will be taking me out of their schedules to serve Christ and this church. If you bump into one, please tell him or her how much you appreciate it. They are JoAnn Akers, Jim Anchors, Sid Linton, Fran Millar, Neal Purcell and Be e Whitley. Blessings,

African-American Spiritual, arr. Larson

Chancel Choir I want Jesus to walk with me. All along my pilgrim journey, O Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me. In my trials, Lord, walk with me. When my heart is almost breaking, O Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me. When I’m troubled, Lord, walk with me. When my head is bowed in sorrow, O Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.
