Throughout the month of July, we have been involved in a series of sermons under the general theme, “Have You Met…?” We have been exploring the lives of a few of the Old Testament characters. They have included Hagar, Jonah, Jethro, and Elisha. Some of these you may have already been familiar with; some may be fresh for you. This morning, we are concluding our series of sermons by looking at the experience of Esther. Esther was a young orphan girl in the care of her cousin, Mordecai, who rises from obscurity, becomes queen of the province from Ethiopia to India, and at a defining moment in her life, and that of her na on, acts with bold faith. It is a story that has much to teach, if we will but be open and listen for the guiding presence of the Holy Spirit. As we come to the conclusion of this series, we are also coming to the conclusion of our Casual Summer Sundays. Next week, we will be returning to our regular worship schedule, (Tradi onal Worship Services at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m., and Contemporary Worship at 9:00 a.m.). Tradi onal Services will also be returning to a more formal liturgical style of worship; however, casual dress will con nue through September 4. I hope you have enjoyed our Casual Summer Sundays. I also pray that you have found them inspiring and spiritually enriching. Thanks for being here this morning, and we look forward to seeing you again next Sunday.

Blessings,
