Psalm 112, #833 Prayer of Thanksgiving

You know each of us by name, O God, and in your sight, we have found favor, yet our minds cannot comprehend the vision of your glory or the vastness of your love. Grant that as we glimpse your greatness, reflected in your many gifts, we may always return to you the praise that is yours alone. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.

Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer

After each prayer, the Leader will conclude: Lord, in your mercy, and all may respond, Hear our prayer.

Tithe and Offering

One of the highest privileges we have as Christians is to respond to God’s grace by financially supporting the mission and ministry of Christ’s church. Through your gifts, lives are touched.

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and Glory Be to the Father the life everlasting. Amen. Hymn 71

Announcements MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT — RADICAL MENTORING

Since 2010, several DUMC men have poured their lives into 125 young fathers in Radical Mentoring (RM) small groups. The vision is to help married fathers of young children live God-centric lives and fulfill their God-given potential. In monthly meetings the group explores character, purpose, true love, joy and discipleship, through Scripture, books, family interactions and group discussion — all leading to an integrated Christian life. RM believes members can have successful careers, be learners and followers of Jesus Christ, plus great husbands, fathers, church members, sons, civic leaders, disciple makers and friends — and have a great time doing it. Our annual reunion is Dec. 9 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All RM alumni are invited. If you are interested in participating in RM ’19 please join us and meet past participants. Contact Pat Morgan at 770-862-3930 or ptm.1stst@gmail.com for more information.
