The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the Glory body, and the life everlasting. Amen.Be to the Father Hymn 71

David’s Prayer Costa Lauren Heidingsfelder, mezzo-soprano Lord in Thy mercy, oh hear my prayer, still keep me under Thy watchful care! Each morning lowly bending the knee, my voice is calling, Father, on Thee. Grant that I ne’er may wander away, from paths of the righteous, the scorner’s to stray. Teach me Thy statutes, let me fulfill, meekly and humbly, Thy gracious will. Lord, when the wicked compass me round, in Thee alone my refuge is found. And when the night’s dark shadows are near, oh deign in mercy Thy servant to hear. Thou, Lord, hast led me up from my youth, vouch safe to send out Thy light and truth. Guide me and teach me to know Thy will, Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow ever ascending Thy Holy Hill. Hymn 95

Announcements MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT — MISSION TRIP COMMISSIONING
Mission trips send people forth to serve in the name of Jesus. A commissioning is when Dunwoody UMC grants authority to the Mission team, allowing them to act on behalf of our church. The commissioning service also allows the congregation to covenant with the Mission team, and reminds us to support them though prayer. In Matthew Chapter 28, Jesus gave us the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations on behalf of Him. Two International Mission Trips are planned for 2018, Costa Rica, leaving July 28, and Guatemala, leaving Aug. 18. Besides prayer, you can provide support through donations, social awareness or joining a future trip. Contact our Director of Missions, Chris Mixer at chris.mixer@dunwoodyumc.org.
WORSHIP
