6TH SUNDAY OF EASTER MAY 26, 2019 8:45 a.m. 11:05 a.m.
A Dynamic Christian Community of Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus Christ 1548 Mt. Vernon Road | Dunwoody, GA | www.dunwoodyumc.org
Getting Involved with VBS and God Squad Dunwoody UMC’s VBS and God Squad camps are right around the corner and we are thrilled to share this experience with you. Did you know our adult volunteers have ALMOST as much fun as the kids at VBS and God Squad? We have room for anyone who has a love of Christ and wants to shine that light for our children. June 17 – 20, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. We are looking for volunteers from all areas of the church—from the youth group to young adult volunteers. All ages are welcome. Two examples of volunteer roles include guides or room helpers. Guide volunteers are responsible for taking their groups from room-to-room while stopping for restroom breaks and keeping children organized and accounted for in the hallways. Room helpers assist children with science experiments and arts and crafts. A VBS coordinator will provide materials and lesson plans so no advance preparation is necessary. Please visit dunwoodyumc.org/children for a full list of volunteer opportunities. There is a job for everyone! Sign up for one or more days and a volunteer coordinator will reach out to you directly. Registration closes on May 31. See you at camp! Blessings, The Children’s Ministry Team
WELCOME FIRST-TIME GUESTS

Psalm 67, #791 Prayer of Thanksgiving
God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace in all things, thank you for the gift of life, for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, and for the love of family and friends without which there would be little happiness in life. Thank you for the beauty of creation of this great Earth, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder, and for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. Everything in life, and the life that surrounds us was drawn and created by Your own hand. For this, we are grateful. Amen.

Anthem
Here I Am, Lord (Hymn 593) Schutte, arr. Young Chancel Choir I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save. I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send? [Refrain: Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if You lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.] I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain. I have wept for love of them. They turn a way. I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone, I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send? I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame, I will set a feast for them. My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life for them, whom shall I send? [Refrain]
