SPONSORSHIP EXPOSURE AND OPPORTUNITIES We believe that our club can offer many benefits for the sponsoring company, some of which are listed below: -‐ Logo on clothing, boats, website, Facebook page, Twitter, newsletters, emails and letter heads -‐ Clearly show the sponsors name in club and team publicity through reports in the yachting press, student newspapers and appropriate websites -‐ Display the sponsor’s name, logo and statement on the Exeter University Sailing Club website -‐ Hold an event under sponsors name (ie. ‘The Bishop Fleming Excalibur’) -‐ Build relationships between University of Exeter students and the sponsoring company -‐ An opportunity to engage with past Exeter students through a presence at our annual alumni events and in our frequent alumni newsletters as well as facebook updates and tweets to our numerous members past and present -‐ Corporate sailing days for employees
WHERE INVESTMENT IS NEEDED
Due to the Club’s current funding levels, sponsorship significantly assists the members in their achievements each year. Money raised would be used for: -‐
Assisting with the purchase of new Firefly dinghies. We currently have 6 new and 6 old boats, which we want to be able to put on a rolling replacing scheme to keep our fleet in top condition
-‐
Maintenance of boats and equipment
-‐
Entry costs, travel and other expenses allowing u s to compete in more events, which currently are costly, and limit us to the amount of events we can compete in
-‐
Increase and improve the scope of coaching by bringing in professional coaches; currently all training is conducted by our own members
-‐
Increased event management for both Excalibur and new events
Financial support would h elp reduce the growing financial burden on the student members and allow us to continue to achieve the successes we have previously seen.
