CHARGING COMPLEX New Energy Vehicle Promotion Plan New energy vehicles(NEV) are replacing fuel vehicles as the main models in the future, but the popularity of NEV is facing many problems, which hinder the development of NEV.Based on this background, I conducted a comprehensive research on NEV users, and found that there are mainly three problems in the charging process: cross regional charging, difficult to find charging pile and long waiting time for charging. Therefore, this design hopes to combine the usage of charging station with mobile app, so that the car owner can query the idle charging parking space remotely; through setting modular charging platform, the user can query the idle charging parking space. The vertical charging station reduces the floor area of the charging station; at the same time, it adds a variety of functional units for car owners to choose, so that the owners of NEV can carry out other activities in the process of charging and waiting. Finally, promote the popularization of NEV, reduce carbon emissions, and make contributions to the protection of the earth's environment.

WEAVING URBAN FRAGMENTATIONS Urban Renewal Plan

The site is located in Liziba , Yubei District, Chongqing, China. The North side of the site faces the Jialing River. The site is neglected as the city developed. For instance,the site has a long history, with a large number of World War II famous mansions, but only the elderly visit .The waterfront area of the site lacks vitality due to undeveloped.In addition, due to the elevation differences, the residents are inconvenient in transportation, and tourists often get lost. Based on these facts, the design indicates to adapt to the height differences, build three landscape belts across the site to increase the pedestrian convenience, also provide more space for cultural facilities and landscape greening , and eventually attract younger users. In addition, the design correspond planning and design for the unutilized spaces in the site, such as waterfront landscape area, light rail park, cultural and creative block, pedestrian street within air raid shelter, shared residential area, etc. The design aims to change the site from a lost place to an urban hub to attract people from all ages.

I want more convinient path to the park.

I want to learn about cultures here.

I want more spaces for outdoor activites!

BRING NIGHT BACK Changable Pavilion In the process of the development of modern city, more and more mega structures appear, their use efficiency is only reflected in the daytime, and completely wasted at night. As a natural resource, darkness is gradually ignored by people. Based on this fact, I hope to carry out space test within the scope of 10 m x 10 m x 10 m to explore the feasibility of building used as a whole and on all the time, meanwhile it’s a device to store darkness in the city through special space structure;

liftable floor

The space structure of the device has been specially designed. It is an exhibition hall during the day. When entering night, the space structure will be changed into a bar to provide entertainment places for people, so that it can be used within 24 hours.

BACK TO 1970S Shuangxi Ordinance Theme Park

TIMELINE | From prosperity to decline

In the 1970s, under the military pressure of the United States and the Soviet Union, China carried out military production in remote mountainous areas,which is called the third line construction. Each ordnance town has perfect supporting facilities, just like a micro city.

Shuangxi, Chongqing, is one of these towns. The third line construction stopped in the 1980s and the development of these areas suddenly stopped due to the remote location.and the residents also left their hometown, leaving only a few residents. The former prosperous life no longer exists. Till this day, these areas are still on the edge of people's memory. Based on this fact, I hope to build Shuangxi town into a theme town for urban residents to experience the collective life in the 1970s. Base on memory of residents about collective lives, new space prototype is extracted. These spaces will be the spiritual place of local residents, and can also attract tourists of different ages to experience and visit, inject vitality into the depressed Town, and inherit the historical culture of the site.

Yunnan Burma war The guns produced were transported to the battlefield of Yunnan and Burma.

Third Line Construction In response to foreign mili -tary oppression,people were sent to rural area for national defense industry.

Military to Civilian The international situation eased,and the ordnance town lost the meaning of being.

STRUCTURE ANALYSIS

This is a space experiment focusing on the material properties of bamboo. The idea of architectural form comes from the traditional ritual vessel of ancient China, "zun"(used as bottle). As an old Chinese saying goes, "wine in zun is never empty" encourages people to have the atmosphere of the way of heaven and earth. Bamboo is also an important intention in Chinese traditional culture, symbolizing the integrity of a gentleman . The device built in the space of 3 m x 3 m x 3 m makes use of the flexibility of bamboo and uses the way of rope binding to connect various structural nodes, providing visitors with the possibility of sitting, walking and other behaviors.Bamboo imitating the shape of the bottle not only gives the meaning of the bottle a new way of expression, on the other hand, the coexistence of solemnity and liveliness of the bottle itself makes the flexibility of bamboo incisively and vividly.
