Anirban Basu is one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most recognizable economists. Basu has written several high-profile economic development strategies. In 2007, Mr. Basu was selected by the Daily Record newspaper as one of Maryland’s 50 most influential people. The Baltimore Business Journal named him one of the region’s 20 most powerful business leaders in 2010. He is also chairman of the Baltimore County Economic Advisory Committee and economic advisor to the Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce. He earned his Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and his Master’s in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. His Juris Doctor was earned at the University Of Maryland School Of Law in 2003.

Henry Smith is a partner of Smith & Downey, a law firm with a national practice concentrating in employee benefits, executive compensation, and labor and employment law. Mr. Smith has been active in various American Bar Association and Maryland State Bar Association committees dealing with employee benefits and executive compensation. He received a Masters degree from the Johns Hopkins University, and received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.
