The modular gallery is a project generated by three components, the exhibition, recreational and services. These programmatic volumes form a system of closed and open spaces that generate different relations to the interior and exterior. At the same time this gallery is able to expand both horizontally and vertically to form larger scale pavilions.

The project seeks to generate bonds through the public space and functional program. Generating social cohesion, cultural exchange and represent exceptional space appropriate to local merchants. The project is developed through a passage that connects the natural environment and memory (Chaquiùån) and the new commercial sector of cumbaya on Avenida Francisco Orellana. The project generates new public space in Cumbaya and permeable ground, breaking the typical scheme in the area of large closed blocks that cause unconscious use of the vehicle

Urban Analysis and Proposal
Centrality 31
The Quito masterplan developed five policies that apply over the territory. After extensive analysis throughout the district the main problems were identified at different scales and the proposal is focused in satisfying needs, services and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Quito. These policies apply to different scales, from neighborhood nodes to large ecological systems and a new public policy aimed at boosting the city of Quito as one of the best Latin American cities.
Sub - Centrality
Nodes
32
Policy 1_Global Scale Attractors This policy is focused on enhancing the status of metropolitan capital of Quito in the national and international level, through better screening of their productive and business fabric and its cultural and natural heritage.
33
Policy 2_ Productive System and Protection Areas This policy establishes the importance of productive, protective and recreational areas. Generating effective conservation strategies and ensuring the transit of species, sustainable tourism and environmental quality in the district.
34
Policy 3_ Urban Centralities The urban centers are areas of metropolitan influence, hosting financial sectors, trade center, important landmarks in the city and service areas. That is why seeks to generate several centralidades developing citywide self supplied basic services and productive areas.
35
Policy 4_ Sub-Centralities The subcentralities are territories that concentrated population centers and areas of influence that are socially and culturally identified with each subcentrality. This policy aims to create equal conditions throughout the city by concentrating health services, transport and education facilities every 2.5 km.
36
Policy 5_ Nodes Nodes in the district fulfill a neighborhood function, they are the minimum unit of intervention that aims to make the District a smart and high-quality public spaces city. On each node that covers a radius of influence of 500 m should be public spaces, neighborhood courts and public wifi areas.
