PIRELLI‘S NEW HEADQUARTERS
Work Experience Projects
Campus Pirelli 120/95. MILANO The building called 120/95 is placed inside the Campus Pirelli Bicocca and is owned by Pirell & C. S.p.A. It occupies part of the buildings of dedvelopment, in addition to entire buildings, HQ1 HQ2 and 134, home to the latter of the prestigious Pirelli Foundation. The building overlooks along the road of Viale Sarca adjacent with the fence of the Park of Bicocca degli Arcimboldi, Unesco headquarters because civil significance, historical and cultural building (noble villa built in the second half of the fifteenth century as a country house of the family of the Arcimboldi, today headquarters of Pirelli, with meeting rooms and boardrooms, as well as the canteen for managers. Located originally in a rural area not far from Milan, totally lies today within the homonymous neighbourhood, now totally urbanized.
STRATEGY The genesis of the project starts from the identification of the system flows and links between buildings owned Pirelli within the sector, but also by adjustments resulting from viale Sarca and the perimeter of the protected Park of Bicocca degli Arcimboldi. To emphasize and do not miss the historical memory of a native Village working symbol of Milan Pirelli is thought to leave a fragment of the building’s façade 120. This piece is framed, almost embedded, within the development of a glass curtain wall, symbolizing what the Bicocca neighbourhood nowadays represents the most modern and at the same time, one of the oldest in Milan. Is maintained and regularized current road system that is based on the following key points: 1. Vehicular access to HQ2 and new building 120/95 can be from Pirelli from Viale Sarca through the existing driveway. Access to the new underground parking space under the new square on Campus will use the existing ramp thus optimizing space and transaction costs. 2. Access to new square on Campus will be through the timely input of individual buildings halls control (HQ1 HQ2, and 120/95) of course you can, through targeted points in the newly cleared, access (wheelwright and pedestrian) from the inner road.
CONNECTION Entering inside the new building the user finds himself within a triple height reception space of caesura and articulation between two buildings with different function: the building for the cafeteria/restaurant/bar etc. and the building intended for the training centre. This space is covered by a skylight in opening part to mark different nature of the two planivolumetricamente also new buildings, the most “public”, which winds along the perimeter of the protected Park of Bicocca degli Arcimboldi, projected towards the buildings HQ1 and HQ2 to form an “optical telescope” and that these physically connects via a covered walkway to the portion of the ground floor and discovered the proportion of these buildings and roof garden the most “private” for training and located between the Pirelli Foundation and the Viale Sarca. Projected development materials of facades of this new building will integrate with those already present and used within the sector, in order to create a unified body and integrate with it; Thanks to the large glass surfaces to pitch 150 cm continuous artificial stone slab base gray. Facade design of the original building on viale Sarca that is preserved, as a cameo, is effective, being empty and full scan, will be fully restored and the project will be perfected in function of what will be the results of a diagnostic phase to identify any degradation phenomena.

THE SQUARE
The trapezoidal shape of the inner sleeve intended for food service derives from the desire to “open the prospect” of the square between the new building facing viale Sarca and the Pirelli Foundation and clear it from the connotation of “space debris”, doing so creates a wider connection with the second square, bounded by the HQ2 building. From this dual system of squares also have access to a second level, a covered Plaza on the first floor served by a staircase of important dimensions, sweeping public spaces, defining the issues and creating alternating plastic of volumes. The system of squares “low” is thought of as forming an urban court, through a simple geometric pattern of the flooring are individualized and make recognizable alternately portions planted grassland mixed with trees and shrubs, benches for resting and socializing of users and also ventilation grills from the motor pool.

JP MORGAN HEADQUARTERS
Work Experience Projects
Via della Moscova 33. MILANO It called Via Santa Teresa , but Napoleon Bonaparte decided to change the name in memory of a bloody battle fought by the Grand Army during the Russian campaign of 1812 , where the Italians showed off their value. Located in the heart of the classic Milan , in one of the most emblematic streets. This grand building, symbol of the city thrives time appears. We find a majestic building, large walls , large windows and large entrance doors. Inside a common courtyard large, let this turn into a large business center and culture of the city. In contrast with the background views towards Porta Garibaldi , we find a classical building that wants to regain his identity, but giving it some aspects of the new times of the XXI century.
INTERVENTION Performances such interventions are characterized mainly by outside intervention and other interior. Protected by the laws of conservation of Italian heritage, foreign intervention and sewed in a consolidamiento cleaning the facade, and only the walls are modified.
Internally we could split the action into two phases, a fully internal phase proceeds to a new design plan, a section of offices with the concept of coworworking and smartworking are available. Open spaces that allow the relationship of workers. Another large part of the intervention focuses on inner courtyard, where the explanation of this project focuses . We proceed to clean the interior facade, opening floor to ceiling windows, letting in as much light as possible. Along with this new glass skin skin a second pass consisting of a metal briesoleil, protecting it from the worst orientations and making a play of light.
1- LOBBY 2- EXHIBITION AREA 3- SMART WORKINGS STATIONS 4- LOUNGE BAR, RECEPCION 5 - RELAXING AREAS
COURTYARD STRATEGY With inspiration from Kandinski, geometric shapes in perfect harmony, perfectly placed on a white canvas. This is how the concept was born of the intervention project in the inner courtyard. After analysis of the circulations, these surround the perimeter of the yard, due to the existence of entries in the four corners, and a central entrance.
A raised square is proposed, a fun tour that using 4 heights, you can enjoy a unique space with several uses. The first thing we found is the reception and a small bar . The entire base is considered a large temporary exhibition space. From the top of a large table comes natural wood , used as coworking space or smartworking. The whole project has enlivened by a mobile armchairs, randomly distributed across space and adding a touch of color.

PROJECT FOR LUXURY HOMES
Work Experience Projects
Via Varese 10. MILANO The design of the new building is derived primarily from the studio lot and its “limits”. The project site has a long, narrow shape and limits with buildings of different heights. For this reason, the maximum permitted height for the new building is 20.70m ie the existing building height. From the section of section 4, however, it shows that a part of a plan dell’eidficio exceeds the maximum height. As a result of all these limitations and the new regulations complete edficio the building curtain and develops a kind shape of a “U” inside the lot, so you have a prevailing south-facing facades to give more comfort to the apartments.

San Fedele 1-3 (Milano)
OFFICE & GLOBAL STORE
Work Experience Projects
San Fedele 1-3. MILANO In the historic core of the city, the building is under supervision by Soprintendenza for Architectural and Monumental heritage of Lombardy and it is being monitored with regard to the near church of San Fedele and Palazzo Marino (indirect restriction ) and above all, the adjacent Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (direct restriction). As a consequence it is highly probable that any refurbishing work which might alter its bulk or shape would not be allowed. Under these major premises, the challenge laying at the basis of the whole concept design consisted in matching innovation and tradition, in updating the edifice energetic and system’ performance to the actual standards of environmental well being and gaining the most valuable design in terms of layouts without upsetting the perceptional relationship between the building and its context.
STRATEGY
This scenario provides both commercial and tertiary uses therefore the building has been split into two block/section each devoted to its own specific activity that is: commercial use from first underground up to first floor while multi-tenant offices from second till 6 floor.
As the sales area cover a surface of 2.500 sqm and is regarded as “medium sixe” according to planning regulation, the administrative iter for the administrative iter to undertake for the release of needed trading licenses would be definitively more agile. Second floor has been designed to function as a sort of distributive core for the fluxes accessing and egressing from above floors. A tiny garden is at the center, with an olive tree and small, portholes to let in natural lighting to below store . The area all around cortyard is design to host common office facilities such as meeting rooms, break areas, gym, library and soon.
THE PROJECT The design option here provided is intended for both commercial and office use. As a consequence, the building has been split into two blocks according to its own specific use, or, in details:
04_OFFICE & GLOBAL STORE
OFFICE SQUARE
Creation of a inner square with green areas, co-working, sharing spaces, permit to meet people easily and it’s a new concept for offices nowadays.
RETAIL USE
Maximize the usability of the shopping areas throught the realization of easy accesses and fast connections.
ENTRANCES
The goal to have separate entrances between retail and offices facilitates the mobility and avoids the mixture flows of people
VISIBILITY
High visibility from the city thanks to the enlargement of the windows of the ground floor into full height windows.
USES

THE SQUARE Fist floor has been designed to function as a sort of distributive core for the fluxes accessing and egressing from above floors. A tiny garden is at the center, with an olive tree and small, portholes to let in natural lighting to below store . The area all around cortyard is design to host common office facilities such as meeting rooms, break areas, gym, library. This square will be directly accessible from piazza San Fedele and via Foscolo and it will act as a sort of common hall for different use, such as meeting rooms, break areas, gym area, library, etc The glass gallery, which conceptually approximates to that already expressed for the tor departments will, on the contrary, after passing through a vertical skin of great architectural efficacy (visual) and acoustics. A level the performance will be less efficient than necessary, inasmuch as it maintains the closed glass casing in the existing roof.

PROJECT HOTEL ACCESS SQUARE
Work Experience Projects
The Big. Via de Cristoforis 6. MILANO The Porta Nuova project is a vast redevelopment urban and architectural design within the business district of Milan, tertiary character district that stretches from the railway station Milano Porta Garibaldi to piazza della Repubblica, Porta Nuova, Palazzo Lombardia, via Melchiorre Gioia. A 165 room hotel emerges with an image outdated and neglected in the midst of one of the most renovated areas of Milan. Within the area of Garibaldi, we find “The Big hotel. A landmark hotel a few years ago, but that currently presents an outdated and worn out state.
THE SQUARE INTERVENTION The main objective is the give a new image to both internal and external to the building. But to do so it is very important to study the pre-existing element that we have the obligation to keep. These are basically systems of facilities that are located outdoors, stairs of access and evacucion, and very important to preserve the Green element, trees and garden areas.
The project displayed is an extract of the restoration of the hotel The Big. It attempts a comprehensive renovation, with the condicionand of having to respect all the supercies and existing volumes. Revolving around three fundamental axes; new image of faรงades, inner renewing and restructuring of the exterior spaces (entry and interior garden square).
This is an analysis in plant of these elements, they are marked in red on the attached drawing. Intengrandolos then in the new design of access as well as the internal garden square.
The project aims to give back to the hotel the modern image quality suitable to the times that run, but that if, always keeping the identity of hotel. Is input of a conservative restoration, keeping as much built surfaces, volumes, holes.
Specifically, here we see the intervention of income, is based on the premise of preserving all existing green elements. We also have certain elements such as electricity meters, staircase to the buried, ventilation tubes, these are integrated in the plaza by way of architectural elements that emerge from the pavement. A few lines of pavement marking directions are plotted and Visual to the different inputs of the building.

RESTORATION FOR CO-WORKING
Master Tesis Project
Macosa Workshops. Valencia CoWorking or working in cooperation is a form of work that allows entrepreneurs, independent professionals and SMEs from different sectors share the same space of work, both physical and virtual. Activities are mixed and distributed on two main levels, where open and flexible space is the predominant, and when you require more private areas structured through transparent walls with the aim to maintain the visual relationship.
HISTORY
In 1922 Daniel Devís, on behalf of sons Miguel Devis, acquires the land that bordered with the path of the trenet station of Jesus to Nazareth, and highways to the North Station, to build two ships and a small building attached as section of wrought iron, which was held by Javier Goerlich LLeó. With these ships began an ambitious industrial project of the Devis industry, which would lead to the birth of the Valencian and manufacturing, industrial fabric along the road from Valencia to Campillo houses between the Caminos de transistos and Cruz Cubierta.
In 1935 a new metal structure Hall is projected in the inner courtyard, the facade of the original ships and the adjoining outer wall to the Camino Real in Madrid, designed by the engineer Vicente Llorens Cervero closing final installations in 1990 led to a process of esmantelamiento of the set and their progressive abandonment, coupled with the growth of the city and the unfinished edge urban towards to the railroad tracks which has led to a deterioration of the urban fabric and its immediate surroundings. The lack of planning of development when it comes to the implementation of all these sets did not allow urban renewal with ease, leading to degradation of the plot being obsolete. Absorbed by the urban fabric of the city, being surrounded by it, these large industrial plots became coveted spaces for the development of a highly-anticipated and ambitious urban plan. The whole was located within the area of influence of the Parque Central to being a zone of extensive urban redevelopment. Thus, in 2009 is the demolition of the entire industrial area, with the exception of the MACOSA ship which pre-exists today thanks to a neighborhood movement.
CONTEXT
The plot is located in the neighborhood of “La Creu Coberta”, belonging to the District of Jesus. It is located to the southwest of the city and borders to the North with La Raiosa, to the East with Målilla, to the South with San Marcelino and Cami Real, and to the West with L’hort de Senabre. Characterized by the pre-existence of old factories, which were placed by the need that had companies from being situated close to the main routes of communication and transport (when this area of the city was on the periphery, and completely outside the urban fabric) today constitutes a truly insurmountable barrier reinforced by the broad band of railroad which causes a total rupture in the urban fabric. In practice these manufacturing plants continuous front prevents connections from traffi rolled between the neighborhoods located one and across the Hall of railway access and only a gateway enables the pedestrian paths. His progressive abandonment, coupled with the growth of the city and the unfinished urban edge towards to the railroad tracks, has led to a deterioration in the urban fabric in general more accused in calle de San Vicente Mártir and their immediate environment, aggravated by the intense traffi rolled that supports. This has generated other large urban inner emptiness that requires a radical transformation. At its southern end, in the neighborhood of cross cover can be seen the remains of an old residential tissue altered by industrial workshops and storage applications by its shortcomings of urbanization and the deterioration of its pre-existing construction, give a clearly suburban character.
CURRENT PROBLEMS After the analysis of the area, you can set the main existing problems, which will serve to identify the estrartegias forward and mark guidelines on which it will develop the project. 1. Existence of the wall that defines the entire action and prevents the connection with the future Park and the rest of the environment. A 2. pollution and noise by the traffic of the San Vicente, without any relationship with the parcela. 3. High-rise buildings in the North, lack of vegetation. 4. Dilapidated buildings in the industrial area. As well as part of the environment. Existence of urban empty large and clear refenrencias.
PROJECT SOLUTIONS In what has rehabilitation of the existing focus on the reconditioning of the warehouse of Macosa adapting it to public use and its extension for the use of offices. The form of this new complex, will be key to understand somehow the new projected space.
1. Removal of walls and connecting the area with the Park and the rest of the environment. 2. Creation of green barriers to reduce the contamination of the avenida. 3. Construction of a volume to North and barriers vegetales. Creation of a new dimensional space through new construction and green elements. 4. Demolition of the buildings in ruin to build new residential buildings and equipment. As well as the rehabilitation of the former factory of Macosa.
DESING STRATEGY CoWorking or working in cooperation is a form of work that allows entrepreneurs, independent professionals and SMEs from different sectors share a same work, both physical and virtual space, to develop their professional projects independently. They also encourage joint projects and offers a solution for the problem of isolation posed for many independent workers, or even micro-enterprises, the experience of work at home. In short, it means play work in a multidisciplinary and community space. Thus in our building activities mingle and distributed in two main levels, where dominates the open space and fl exible, and when you require more private areas structured through transparent walls with the aim to maintain the visual relationship.

The pedestrian WAY clearly mark three points home and connection. The first and main connects the calle San Vicente with work center, through a walkway that goes over the buried square of relation. A second route connecting the new boulevard where the train tracks are currently with the plaza general, giving access both to the old factory and new business center. And third and finally, the connection with the parking.
GREEN ELEMENT The element green as one of the tools of the project is conceived. It is understood from the outset as a generator of spaces, paths and relationships between the different uses of the project. The project adopts the modulation of 10 by 10, serving a width of 20 meters use, creates a volume in L-shape surrounding the protected building. As well as the buried square will have the same modulation. Future management will also take this modulation. With the intention that the new building does not exceed at any time exceeds the height of the factory. The project is developed in two dimensions, the first level of street where access occurs. The other dimension is located at least four meters, where the space of relationship develops. This allows causing the least visual impact towards the ancient factory.
ACCESS SCHEMA

The detail shows the finishes. materilidad and language of the building of new plant to the work area. Specifically this fragment of the project develops part related to the workshops intended for rental companies. The whole stands out for the treatment of light and space. Being related the two floors of the building through a double height, which dumped the Interior routes. Here appears the vertical communication materialized in a staircase with two sections. In the downstairs are rest areas, reading and relationship to coworkers.
CONNECTION COWORKING-MACOSA The relationship is direct through this dimension zero, there is, however, a tour of relationship across the plaza to dimension less four meters, which allows more private circulation, for the semi-public equipment. SPATIAL RELATIONSHIP OF WORKING AREAS Boxes and collaborative work with direct light from the outside, inside it’s open spaces. Entertainment area is areas to double height, giving a greater sense of spatiality USE OF LIGHT The diagram shows the incident light in the areas of boxes, allowing natural light the greater number of hours, in addition to the use of solar, also is establen direct visual relationship with the outside.

The project relies on that axis turning the master volume (room of spectators and scenario) to both urban spaces. In summary, the project is created from the resulting geometry connecting shaft and the alignment of facades.
DOCTOR COLLADO SQUARE (VALENCIA)
After the analogue study of geometry, volume and historical analysis of the area is observed the important axis created between the Plaza Doctor Collado and the company’s Plaza, being this big historic monument of the Lonja of Valencia. After previously commented, the project relies on that axis turning the master volume (room of spectators and scenario) to both urban spaces. In summary, the project is created from the resulting geometry connecting shaft and the alignment of facades.
Another very important point to keep in mind, that together with the Collado-compania axis geometry generator has been is own modulation of the fish market. Lines on the structure of the historical building (7 meters wide) are plotted by lengthening them until the main shaft converted into angle bisector and creating its symmetry. The secondary volume emerges from the bisector between the top of the plot and line created as an extension of alignment of facades of the plaza Doctor Collado.
Once obtained the lines and generating traces of the project, the next step is to adapt the guiding principles to a more appropriate scale for the implementation of the project, since the light of the porticoes of the fish market are 7 meters wide, obtaremos by dividing this length into two parts. So we obtain a distance between bays of 3.5 meters. In this way, the beams that will withstand loads of room for spectators and stage may be longer. This process is repeated in the secondary volume.
LOCATION
ACCESS THEATRE
The Plaza del Dr. Collado, is one of the key squares in Valencia. Close to the fish market, and the market square, is a meeting place, perfect for a break and observe the facades of the farms surrounding it and go back to medieval times, when traders were doing their business next to this square.
The project is generated to a starting from axis of union of two squares surrounding the plot. The entrance of the main and most important input is done through the Plaza Doctor Collado. On the other side, Plaza of the company will be access for technicians and employees of the theatre. Next to the rear entrance, the place of loading and unloading of the truck that access is located directly to the pit of the stage. The building emerges as a contrast between the new and the old.
After performing the analysis of the place and its history, we can observe main axis is created between Plaza Doctor Collado and CompaĂąia Square, provides us with two large urban gaps that we try to connect and relate it to our project. “Cymatica is an architectural investigation exploring the synthesis of spatial proportions and forms generated by sound. This project is an initial step toward interpreting the intelligent proportions of waves, which we commonly experience as sounds, as expressions of formal proportion in architecture.
The ultimate goal of unlocking the language of cymatic is to be able to translate and re-interpret the communication of sound through form, in order to better understand how to create atmospheres and effects. Ultimately, to build by listening. The project was born with an experiment. For this reason, it has been necessary to re-build the support in order to analyze which sound was better suited to interact with this specific shape.
