Balance Work and Play
Balance the tasks that must be completed with the events that must be attended. Get the dates of any kid's performances or activities and mark them on your calendar. By planning it over the next few weeks, you can realistically determine whether there is enough time to complete a task. If not, you may need to outsource or delegate.
The importance of exercise over the holidays may surpass that of any other period of the year. In addition to helping you manage anxiety and depression, exercise may help you manage stress, avoid weight gain, maintain healthy behaviors, get off the couch, retain your progress, and enhance your vitality.
Delegate Responsibilities
Get a virtual assistant to help you with your workload if you work for yourself. Invite family members to assist with Christmas preparations. Everyone will enjoy the holidays if you start by not taking on too much.
Keep Clients in the Loop
Let customers and other business contacts know in advance when going on vacation. When everyone knows in advance, they are less likely to turn up seeking for you just before you leave for the holidays.
Establish Limits
Keep in mind that you are often to blame if you are overworked. Do you establish the necessary limits or say "no" to things sufficiently to lead a happy life? Remember that if you say yes to one person, you may have to say no to another. Will you miss reading a bedtime story if you decide to stay late at work?
Even while you may not always have the choice to decline an invitation, if you do, be careful to choose wisely.
Be Present
Spending the holidays feeling guilty is a waste of time. Guilt is a useless feeling because life is meant to be lived. During the holidays, be present, and while you are working, work. Keep work out of your mind when you are on vacation. Concentrate on the people nearby—the significant, unique individuals you want to spend the holidays with. On the other side, work will be there for you.
