hanks to our smartphones, we all pretty much have a camera with us at all times these days, but who knew we could learn about life from them? During the last year and a half, I think a lot of us have evaluated what we place value in. Many are taking the time to redefine what things in life are most important.

Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important. Capture the good times. And if things don’t work out, just take another shot. ~ Ziad K. Abdelnour

We are trying to make the most of life by making precious memories with our family and making sure we capture those moments along the way. We love looking back on the family photos we have taken over the years. Not everything always goes as planned though, and that is okay. These negative experiences or mishaps are learning opportunities to help us next time. Life is all about trial and error, so keep trying and taking those shots!

We are excited to continue to expand the content that we bring you. We added a “Giving Back” section this month which spotlights an agent or business partner that gives back to the community. If you or someone you know gives back in a big way, has a special charity event, or is simply someone with a servant’s heart, please email us at kristin.lunsford@ realproducersmag.com. We also will start a “Celebrating Leaders” section. There are a lot of people that work behind the scenes in your real estate offices. Many people tell us that they talk with the same helpful people in certain offices, but don’t really know much about those particular people who were so accommodating during transactions. We would love to share stories and give credit to those working so hard in the background to make your deals go smoothly. If you have a leader in your office that you think we should feature, please email us at kristin.lunsford@ realproducersmag.com!

If you are interested in nominating people for certain stories, please email us at Kristin.Lunsford@ RealProducersMag.com and/or Brian.Lunsford@RealProducersMag.com. BOBBY WILLIAMS LIVES TO SERVE PROFESSIONALISM AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL

When asked to elaborate on his sales approach, he gives an example. “When I am the listing agent, it’s my job to sell the home. When you’re selling a $1 million-dollar home, or even a $500,000 dollar home,” he says, “it’s important to pay attention to detail. When I’m selling a home, I am at every showing. Yet, when I’m showing a home to a potential buyer, too often the listing agent isn’t there. The lights are off and the property is dark.”

When Bobby is the listing agent, potential buyers can expect the lights to be on, Bobby to be present to answer questions, and more. He offers guests a glass of champagne and a personal tour of the property that highlights upgrades and best features.

In one year, he’s become a top producer. When asked what fueled his success, Bobby says, “My approach to sales.” He believes his corporate background has allowed him to stand out in the eyes of buyers and sellers.

Details like these, learned through his corporate sales career, have launched his success. And he knows his approach is noticed by clients. He brings that sales experience to his clients every day as he strives to live up to his favorite quote by former Chicago Bears running back, Walter Payton, who said, “When you’re good at something, you’ll tell everyone. When you’re great at something, they’ll tell you.”

hether he’s tackling a failing inner-city Chicago classroom and football team, managing a two-state pharmaceutical sales territory, or helping Ponte Vedra Beach home sellers and buyers, Bobby Williams is a service-focused go-getter. He gives 100 percent to everything he does. For the past year, Bobby has been bringing his C-suite sales and management expertise to his new real estate career. During his first year as an agent—2020—Bobby closed $5 million.

“I’m always in communication with my clients,” Bobby says, “even for the smallest details. They’re hiring me to either buy or sell a home, and I can’t fail to inform them of every little detail.” Many of Bobby’s clients tell him he’s the best realtor they’ve ever worked with. A CAREER IN SERVING OTHERS

@realproducers

Even as a new teacher and football coach in an inner-city Chicago school, Bobby wanted to help others. During his first year as football coach, he noticed he had a senior running back on his team with talent, Larry Hairl. “We bonded from day one,” he says. “I mentored Larry and helped him work toward his goal of playing college football and becoming the first person in his family to attend college.”

realproducersmag.com

At the end of that season, Larry won the honor of first-team AllCity running back. “He was the first football player in the school’s history to receive a scholarship to play college football,” Bobby remembers. “This will always stand out as one of the greatest accomplishments in my professional and personal life. Larry is like a son to me; we still communicate and visit one another.” That’s not all. When speaking of his previous professional roles, he connects the service dots. “I gained great joy and satisfaction from helping my athletes and students,” he says. “Pharmaceutical sales allowed me to help patients. Now, real estate gives me the opportunity to continue serving people by assisting them in the process of buying and selling their homes.” Jacksonville Real Producers • 11

Real estate allows me to be there for my children.” It also provides time for Bobby, an art aficionado, to spend time painting with acrylics on canvas, playing pickleball or a round of golf. When he’s with his family, though, Bobby is often found outside swimming, playing sports, or at the beach.

Always a smooth closing when HMFG is involved! Great communication, quick response time, and always answer calls or emails. Highly recommend! - Kendra P

And though he’s a leader in the Ponte Vedra Beach real estate market, at the end of the day, Bobby just wants to be remembered as a good husband, father, and person.

Mortgages Made Simple

Bobby knows the real estate process can be stressful, so he helps relieve those pain points by navigating the process for his clients with an organized, detailed, professional approach. AT HOME WITH THE FAMILY

Just a year ago, Bobby spent his weekdays on planes to make it to scheduled meetings throughout Georgia and Florida. The hectic

schedule kept him from home and his wife, Suzanne, and two daughters, Stella (10) and Audrey (5). His career in real estate has changed that. “Now, I’m able to both provide for my family and make my own schedule,” he says. “I’m no longer missing out on life events like sports, concerts, and school functions. Davidson Cares

C LAY DAY

Sherry Davidson lives her life with a servant’s heart, inspired by living a Christ-centered

giving back

life. This passion for serving others led to the formation of Davidson Cares, a non-profit organization that

Sherry Davidson, President Davidson Realty, Inc.

gives back to local charities. Sherry says, “Scripture tells us over and over, particularly in Luke and James, to take care of the less fortunate. There are so many amazing charities that change lives. I find financially supporting them and serving on Boards is the way I can help the most.”

The first year they raised $30,000 and that became their main fundraiser. They raised $52,000 one year and had $40,000 matched by a generous donor. Sherry’s entire family and company are involved, and it is great to see all the generous people in the area and industry come shoot every year.

The second charity Davidson Cares added was ink! (Investing in Kids). Sherry serves on the board and saw the incredible impact their FLY (Five Learning Years) program was having with pre-K and Kindergarten kids that needed a little extra help. Their Take Stock in Children program has an amazing record of graduating the students from high school and seeing them prosper in college.

There are so many amazing charities that change lives. I find financially supporting them and serving on Boards is the way I can help the most.

The most recent charity added is Builders Care. Sherry also serves on their Board and saw the heartbreaking conditions some of our seniors and disabled people live in. Builders Care goes in and many times repairs so much more than was initially requested when they see the situation.

Sherry’s daughter, Peyton, originally came up with the idea of forming Davidson Cares. They were doing small events with silent auctions and 5k runs and were making $2,000 to $5,000 per event. Sherry’s family has shot skeet and sporting clay competitively for years, and she thought it would be fun to have a charity shoot. This shoot event has turned into “Clay Day.”

14 • August 2021

Davidson Cares carefully chooses the organizations they partner with to give back to. Their first charity was St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS). Sherry and her family learned that at 18, the boys age out of SAYS care and are not prepared to handle living independently. SAYS is trying to help build them an independent living facility more like a dorm with some oversight.

Sherry envisions Clay Day being around for years to come and continuing to be a pillar to the community in giving back. Sherry stated, “I want the shoot to be the most fun shoot around so people that participate will come back and invite other groups. We offer beginner skeet with an instructor so people with no experience can join in. I will always try to find ways to raise more money for the charities I am passionate about.”

The American Dream.

The Dream Started in South America

Does it still come true?

It certainly did for real estate impresario,

Taly was born in Uruguay, “a very small country in the southern cone of South America.” Her grandparents landed in Uruguay from Israel and Hungary, and she was raised around immigrants and entrepreneurs, sparking her own interest in establishing a business in the future.

partner spotlight

When she married her husband, a Hungarian baron, in 1998, Taly moved from Uruguay to the United States. Fortunately, her educational background helped her take her first steps in her new country.

Taly C. Brinzey of Summit Properties International.

“I went to The British Schools, an exclusive private school, which allowed me to have a great education and to grow up bilingual in English and Spanish,” Taly said. “Later on, I studied Business Administration and Finance.” Eventually, Taly was employed as an investment advisor for high net worth clients in International Wealth Management. As such, she was responsible for protecting her clients’ financial investments by advising when and how to make successful financial moves. “In October 2007, I advised my clients to get out of their securities and get into cash because I believed the signs pointed to an impending severe [recession],” Taly said. “Upon rebuke from my boss, I left the bank and the industry altogether.” And, she wasn’t wrong. By March 2008, “the markets were in a free fall.” A New Path into Real Estate

In the midst of her search for a new path to follow, she was invited to join a real estate developer as a sales director for a new project. Taly’s participation in the collaboration

resulted in two things: a wildly successful project and her newfound love for the real estate industry. Using her background knowledge and experience with international investors, Taly and her business partner wanted to find a way for those investors to invest directly into U.S. real estate. Thus, Summit Properties International was born in 2008. “We are a full-service real estate company with a focus on real estate investments and a desire to assist international clients to acquire, manage, and sell real estate portfolios both for investment and personal use,” Taly said. “Our focus is on long-term relationships with our investors and partners, as well as our clients’ long-term success. With that in mind, we will thoroughly review potential investment opportunities against our clients’ objectives and counsel accordingly.”

Taly says that the most fulfilling thing about her work is helping her clients and associates succeed. She enjoys finding innovative solutions for issues that were, at first, daunting. The challenges she has had to overcome in her own life have contributed to her perseverance and resilience.

Overcoming Challenges

on real estate

First, moving to a new country and finding one’s way in an unfamiliar place requires a great deal of courage and tenacity. Add to that a medical crisis in 2018, and it’s no wonder that very little shakes Taly’s ambition.

investments and a desire to assist international

“I had to deal first with neurosurgery for a CSF [cerebrospinal fluid] leak and then cancer,” Taly said. “I was blessed with great doctors and an incredibly supportive family, and with this, and, most importantly God, I was able to not only survive but thrive.”

clients to acquire, manage, and sell real estate portfolios

“I realized that the likelihood of having these two events happen was very rare, and to survive with no lingering issues was exceedingly rare, dare I say, a miracle,” Taly said. “Since then, I live each day as a gift, enjoying every moment and making the most of every opportunity. I give myself more freedom, time to do the things I enjoy, and to spend more time with those I love.” Enjoying Life

Taly and her husband like discovering new places together, both in town and in nature, and they are often found with friends by the water, whether it be on the beach or in a boat. They also have a German Shepherd who keeps them busy and entertained.

personal use.

In her spare time, Taly is also a poet with over one hundred poems penned to date. She hopes to publish her poetry in a book eventually and follow with enough poems to write multiple books. For the Love of Real Estate

Taly is a “what you see is what you get” kind of woman, and she takes her personal and professional lives seriously. While she does know how to relax and enjoy some time off, it’s hard to separate her from her love of real estate. She can often be found analyzing and forecasting trends and opportunities to be able to better support her investors. “I am fascinated by real estate,” Taly said. “It is THE best way to build long-term financial wealth, and it is also tremendously complex…from basic residential transactions to

commercial property management, financing, and development.” Summit Properties International hopes that top-producing real estate agents will find ways to work together with Taly and her team to achieve even greater results for their clients. From her upbringing surrounded by immigrants in Uruguay to her own thriving real estate investment business in the U.S., Taly is no stranger to hard work and dedication. “I look at work as an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those I come in contact with,” Taly said. “I look forward to growing our brand in the St. Augustine area and becoming a part of this wonderful community.”

GROWING UP IN SALES AND BUSINESS

Eden Jordan has understood the hustle of entrepreneurship since she was a child. She watched her parents work on their business while she jumped on rolls of cushion stuffing and roller-skated around their factory. She spent vacations visiting furniture trade shows and absorbing knowledge about sales and business. It was only natural for her to grow up and pursue a business of her own that has thrived for over 22 years now. FROM DISNEY TO TRADE SHOWS TO STAY-AT-HOME MOM

Real estate wasn’t Eden’s first venture, though. The New Jersey native who claims Orange Park as home, graduated from Florida State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. The year prior to graduation, Eden had the unique opportunity to work in the Disney College Program.

with Festivities Publications as a trade show salesperson. Festivities Publications hosted two trade shows each year and oversaw the production of four magazines. As much as she loved her job with Festivities, her travel schedule did not permit her the time she needed as she was becoming a new mom. “I was pregnant in 1997 with my first daughter, Lillia,” Eden said. “My company was not very cooperative with me about traveling and working, so I left Festivities to become a stay-at-home mom.” While at home, her mother-in-law, Mary Jordan, a real estate agent, asked Eden to help with some mailing lists and computer work, and she eventually convinced Eden to get her own real estate license. Thus, her business was born. MOVING INTO A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE

After DCP, Eden headed back home to Vilano Beach and worked for The Prime Osborn Convention Center as an event coordinator. After marrying her husband, Wayne Jordan, in 1994, Eden became a trade show coordinator with Florida Hardware. Her favorite job, however, was

“At that time, new agents did not work at Re/Max,” said Eden. “The buyer’s agent fad was just starting across the country, and I was the first buyer’s agent at Re/Max on Park Avenue. Ann McAfee was my broker, and she encouraged me to be a full-time agent by the end of 1998.”

I love the opportunity and relationships that this industry provides.

At 28 years old, Eden made that goal a reality. She networked with other moms on the playground at Orange Park United Methodist Church and talked real estate with them as they began buying their own first family homes. This was the beginning of Eden’s career of serving Clay County families. “I probably sold 15 houses my first year and backed up Mary while she would travel the country on her Harley,” Eden said. Managing her own schedule and not having to put her daughter in full-time daycare was beneficial enough for Eden, but she found as she progressed in her career that she really enjoyed the people that real estate allowed her to meet and the agents she was able to work with. “I am honored to help people find their forever homes or the places they want to raise their families,” Eden said. “When you get to be a family’s go-to REALTOR®, it is an honor. I have one family who was one of my very first clients, and I have sold them 11 homes and am getting ready to sell the 12th…it is so much fun to help them and to know they only trust me.” By 2003, Eden was one of the top-selling agents in her office and “We Know Clay” became Eden’s team slogan as her business grew over the years in her

experience and work ethic combined with Eden’s mentorship and reach has resulted in impressive success and continues to grow.

I am honored to help people find their forever homes or the places they want to raise their families.

THE FAMILY TRADITION CONTINUES

Eden’s newest agent-intraining is her own daughter, Lillia—the one who led her to real estate in the first place back in 1997. Lillia recently graduated from Troy University with a bachelor’s in communications and from the University of Florida with a master’s in communications.

very own backyard of Pace Island and Fleming Island. Eden became the go-to neighborhood agent, and she prides herself on her in-depth knowledge of Clay County’s transactions, school districts, neighborhoods and future development and growth of the area.

“Lillia has been around the real estate business since she was in a car seat,” Eden said. “[She] is using her education to help bring a youthful side to the business. She knows how to do so many things we do not. It has been a blast mentoring her.”

A market disruption in 2008 gave Eden the opportunity to shift gears and join the Coldwell Banker Vanguard team in Fleming Island. Today, she attributes her success to the support and family atmosphere CBV has given her over the past 13 years. One of her team’s most recent successes was securing the top listing slot for Clay County sales in 2020. “Our office isn’t cutthroat like some other companies. We actually enjoy helping each other grow in each other’s businesses and personal lives. They have become some of my best friends.”

With Lillia making her way in the profession, Eden is able to plan her next phase of business. She is looking forward to traveling more and releasing some of the dayto-day operations to her team. “I love the opportunity and relationships that this industry provides,” Eden said. “I want to continue my relationships with my customers and all of the families I have met along the way.” Eden’s goal is to make it to over 30 years in the business and help my friends’ kids find homes in Clay County.

HELPING OTHERS ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS

Eden’s passion to mentor, help others, and bring people together is truly what drives her aspirations for the future of her business. “I have always had a small team, and my goal was not to promote myself but to give someone else an opportunity to learn from me and get the excess business,” Eden said. “I am proud to say that I have mentored and trained several successful agents.”
