It was the first year 9th graders started high school opposed to starting in 10th grade. I was the 9th-grade fresh meat and highly intimidated. The best memory for me was when I decided to set my own path on how the next 4 years would go. I decided I would not be the shy 9th-grade girl. So I threw myself out there to the “popular” social crowd. I just one day walked over to where the social crowd hung out and started making friends... thankfully I was never really “shy”, just very reserved, conservative and lady-like. It didn’t take long to make new friends and became a VERY outspoken and vocal person. Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

College – Joining a fraternity and starting to take advantage of the college life. Before the Fraternity, I lived at home and it was an extension of high school. After joining the Fraternity, I ended up moving out of my parent’s house and getting an apartment near campus with a fraternity brother.

new friends and playing sports. I always enjoyed playing two-hand tag football in the school yard. It is where my passion for the game began and I was hooked!

The best school memory was warming up in weightlifting class senior year. There was a cute blonde girl behind me and when we’d stretch I’d shout that she was looking at my butt to embarrass her...17 years and now 3 kids later, she still looking at my butt!!

My favorite thing about high school was playing volleyball on the varsity team and hanging out with my friends during our free periods. I made some lifelong friends that are still a big part of my life. I also got voted “best parties” my senior year

I have a funny memory…I was in high school math class, I was bored and using my pen to spit spitballs. Unfortunately, as I spit one across the room the door opened and the principal walked in. The spitball landed right on his glasses. Stuck to the lens. Wasn’t funny after that. Got detention for a long time. Lol.

My 4th-grade teacher Mrs. Lee would light all her owl candles (she collected owls) and we would read Pippy Longstocking. I bought her an owl necklace from Avon with my allowance. She was such an awesome teacher overall. I had her 4th and 5th grade.

Best memories of school was getting the opportunity to make new friends. I loved meeting people at the beginning of school and seeing who could be my new friend and obviously seeing old friends you didn’t get to see over the summer. I also loved taking photography, learning how to develop film and then watch it turn into prints was pretty cool.

I really enjoyed playing soccer during my time in middle and high school. Whether it was attending practice sessions or participating in games after school, or even traveling to different schools for matches, it was an awesome experience. Being a part of a team and collaborating to give our best efforts brought immense joy. Cherished memories, for sure!

Walking into class and knowing all of your friends are excited to see you! My favorite memory is more of a feeling than a specific experience. The feeling of close friendships and knowing you got to see them every day! That and opening my lunch with notes every day from my mom.

Seeing my friends every day! Our lives get so busy as adults, and we take for granted the time spent with them every day. Also, sports. I miss playing and staying active.

My favorite memory was switching places with my twin sister. We would go to each other’s classes trick our teachers and even our friends. I’ll admit I took a few of my sister’s math exams and she took a few of my English exams.

Pickett Home Advisors ing up was being a part of my middle school and high school dance teams! We performed at the basketball and football games, as well as pep rallies. It was a great way to find a community and build friendships, as well as have a creative outlet that I really enjoyed.

Best memory of school was getting excited about meeting my new teacher, getting new supplies and clothes. I am ADDICTED to office supplies to this day. I also really enjoyed the first day of school meeting new people and starting a new chapter.

I loved being in sports in grammar school (softball, track, flag football, hockey, and volleyball). In high school, I loved being on the track team and studying shorthand, computers, and auto shop.

Grammer school was the cafeteria, gym class, and outdoor recess. High school was an honor to raise and lower the American Flag every day.
