Partner Spotlight: JENNIFER PEREZ, Owner, Covenant Closing and Title

Expertise and Innovation, Growth and Kindness

By Michelle Williamson

When Jennifer Perez purchased Covenant Closing and Title in 2016, she felt like she had just won “Olympic gold.” In fact, “a miracle” is how she describes the experience. “It was such an accomplishment; it re-inspired me,” she says. Becoming the company’s owner grew Jennifer’s self-confidence, leadership, and vision. Looking back today, she sees that her spiritual life grew alongside her responsibilities.

Now with six years behind them, Covenant Closing and Title’s team has earned a reputation for their industry expertise and innovation. “Our clients feel a sense of security before, during, and after a transaction,” says Jennifer. The company is “revolutionizing the title and closing industries” with its expertise, services, and groundbreaking product, Quick Close™.

From performing a title search and researching records to determining legal ownership and finding any existing claims to offering title insurance, Covenant Closing and Title makes sure the “title transfer from seller to buyer is in perfect order.”

The Covenant Closing team

Between their expertise and innovative use of technology, Covenant Closing and Title provides the “quickest, smoothest closing process available.”

What clients love most about them, though, is the way they are treated.

From the Ground Up

While “owner” was a new title for Jennifer, she wasn’t new to the title industry. Her first professional job after high school was title abstracting, a job she held while simultaneously completing her first year in college. “I kind of fell into it,” she shares of her abstracting work. When her scholarship money ran out after her first year, though, she couldn’t continue pursuing a degree. “That was okay,” she says. “I was kind of lost in college.” Jennifer loved her job, though.

Of Covenant Closing and Title’s expertise, she says, “We handle every transaction with professionalism, accuracy, and care. We are responsive and available. Our clients can always count on us.”

When the phone rings at the office, someone will answer. Jennifer and her Covenant Closing and Title team are focused on growth. “Growth is most fulfilling,” she says, “because it’s creating opportunity for everyone. It’s fulfilling to be a part of a winning team. I am doing something good that I can be proud of and working with people I love.”

Jennifer and her team expertly serve their clients and believe in the industry. “It’s the American Dream to own a home,” she says, “and that’s not going to change. Land is forever.”

A Family-Focused Music Lover

“My family is very kind, humble, and hard-working,” Jennifer shares. “We enjoy doing DIY projects together and are always supporting one another in life.” Her mother, Darla, works in her organization with her.

It’s the american dream to own a home.

Recently, the two redesigned and restored Jennifer’s basement after it flooded.

When Jennifer isn’t working, she loves “live music, anywhere, anytime.” She also loves all animals. “I grew up riding horses, which taught me so much,” she says. A love that came from her cowgirl mother.

Though Jennifer and her team are experts and innovators, she believes her competitive advantage is kindness. “Surround yourself with kind people,” she says. “I hope everyone knows how much I care about my employees. I hope people feel kindness when they meet me or anyone on the Covenant Closing and Title team.”

“I loved the process of solving puzzles,” she says. “Searching property records and property law requires a lot of research and piecing together the history of the property and making sure it makes sense in the end.” In 2006 at age 23, Jennifer started her own title abstracting company from her home, Indepth Solutions, which has grown over the years. She still owns the company today. Then, in 2016, ten years later, she purchased Covenant Closing and Title.

Jennifer’s attention to detail and deep care for accuracy propelled her success from the early days. Today, she recognizes that her ability to surround herself with like-minded people who keep Covenant’s vision and mission in focus are her strengths.
