Project Goal
The goal of this project is to redesign the existing Black & Decker - Spatula Smart Hand Mixer. New design will cater to be cord-less, water-proof and user centered product with multi-functional add-ons : storage and a wall-mount charger.

What is a concussion?
A bump, blow, or jolt to the head can cause a concussion, a type of traumatic brain injury.
Concussion
Concussions can also occur from a blow to the body that causes the head and brain to move rapidly back and forth—literally causing the brain to bounce around or twist within the skull. This sudden movement of the brain causes stretching, damaging the cells and creating chemical changes in the brain. Once these changes occur, the brain is more vulnerable to further injury and sensitive to any increased stress until it fully recovers.

Project Summary
FORCE is a two shell helmet which is connected by the expansion joints. The inner layer is fixed to the head by D3O and only the outer layer moves when under impact. The impact is determined when the pizochromatic paint changes the color.

FLEX is designed to fit and lock into small spaces which is achieved by the mid-drive folding mechanism and an inbuilt locking mechanism. It has a storage which houses a battery to charge the devices on the go and store some stuff as well.

Kiley Chinen 06 years old
Kiley has suffered a transtibial amputation meaning that she is missing her left foot and lower portion of the left leg. Knowing this, you might be surprised to know that her favorite pastime is roller skating. Kiley, the youngest of three children, loves to play and never thinks she can’t keep up with her brother and sister. One year ago, Kiley started her grade school. Having a normal prosthetic is great for roller skates since the skates keep your leg static, but Kiley can’t hide the stiffness of the prosthetic walking around the school campus. Kiley wants a prosthetic that she can show off and be proud of. She also wants it to be able to perform for different types of activities and, of course, it still needs to fit in her skates!
Mr. Chinen wants a prosthetic that can do everything Kiley wants to do, but will also accommodate her growth without needing to be completely replaced each year.

Kiley’s father is a businessman and his salary is just enough to provide a comfortable life for his stay-at-home wife and three children. He can afford to buy performance prosthetics for Kiley, but as she is so young, he is worried about the cost of often having to replace them as she grows.
