Plug and Play Matrix is a social hub for the millennials, this project aims to create a coherent and vibrant hub by promoting shared living, encouraging community participation and creating a convenient city lifestyle. The Matrix will promote community living where the residents can live, work together and play together, this new way of city living aims at creating new human interaction and relationships through the architecture of its space. The social facilities and communal spaces are dispersed vertically, addressing the devoid of open public spaces in high-rise towers.
02 PINNA ICC Cricket Stadium and Cricket Academy Ghaziabad, Haryana Semester 8, Group of 3 Mentors : Dr. Ranjana Mittal, Manish Gulati & Anuj Mittal (MO:FA studio)
The international cricket stadium designed at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh has been conceptually intertwined with the local culture of the place and will give a new meaning to the social life of the local residents. The international cricket stadium gets its inspiration from the hand-stitched cricket leather balls, which is handicraft still practiced in India and Pakistan. The stadium has a capacity of 45,000 people and non-match day facilities flanked all along its basement to keep the stadium functioning and earnings for its maintenance. The stadium boasts a suspended tensile member roof, suspended from the two iconic arches which will act as a landmark of the place. The landscape and the envelope of the stadium is meticulously designed to inspire, accommodate and entertain the spectators.

03 FRONTIER Mixed Use Highrise Bharakhamba Road, Delhi Semester 7, Individual Mentors : Dr. Rajaprakash, Sachin Rastogi, Anand Dohte, Gaurav Sharma
Proposing a mixed-use high rise along the high tension road which connects the shopping circle and cultural hub of Delhi. The high rise is a confluence between culture and context. Located at the corner of the Barakhamba road, the idea was to create a symbolic sculpture which re-images our traditional arch and merges it inti the urban fabric. The scooped out volume from actual mass, leaves the public with a shaded plaza triggering social interaction. The exploration of dia-grid as a structural element, gives a modern identity to it. The staggered retail shops, with coloured cupolas, forming niches along the public zone.
04 INBETWEEN Public space intervention Pragati Maidan, Delhi Semester 4, Team of 4 Mentors : Saptharishi Sanyal, Ashwini Dutta, Vikas Gandhi, Souparna
The vast open space between the exhibition halls, at the centre of Pragati maidan needed a makeover to entertain and regulate the mob. The intention to convert the space into a maze - to get lost, enjoy the journey to otherside. Creating a forest of vertical pillars of various heights and density, to differentiate between leisure, walking, private space. The triangular pillars created dynamic space around it with its moving shadows all along the day.
05 SYNCHRONIZE Coliving and Coworking space design Plug and Play : Architecture competition Organizer : Sqrfactor India Group : Ruthwik Sai Busam, Kathula Ankith
The competition brief expressed the idea of designing a coliving space for working millennials in the electronic city of Bangalore. The concept of co-living started off with a deep knowledge in millennials and their world of plug and play living. For millennials, mobility is their first priority and ownership of home is secondary. The homes are viewed as consumption products which suits housing requirement ina particular phase of the life, like for students pursuing higher education, fresh graduates, single women and couples. To understand the millennials’ lifestyle is the key to the functioning of this housing scheme.
06 TELLURIC TURF Highway Stopover Design Travel Unravel Design Competition Organizer : Sqrfactor India Group : Ruthwik Sai Busam, Kathula Ankith,
“We have long been inspired by nature” Travel is more than going somewhere. It is a psychological event, in which you enjoy the path more than destination. It requires motivation and imagination. It begins in childhood with faltering first steps and with imagination fired by the tales of “long, long ago in a faraway land”. The design is more an eco-mimic of nature. So rather than piercing through the terrain, it knits the bucolic landscapes. Can we design something mimicing the terrain of the nature?? The designed emerged from nature and mathematics in itself. It all started with knitting the earthly surface, with some people flowing around like a river, upon them huge rain clouds floating.
07 DARWIN Future Settlement in Mars Archdais - Mars Calling Organizer : ArchDais India Group : SIngle
The competition brief sketching the future street on Mars. The concept of Martian settlement is illustrated in a fluid circular form that can nbe 3d printed using Martian soil and added metals. The concept illustrates a lively street on Mars by creating squares, courts and visual connect between inside and outside.
