NATURE, HUMAN, AND TECHNOLOGY COEXIST Project: Location: Date:
Mix Use Korea, Busan 2018
Namchun Samick Beach Reconstruction (NSBR) is mix-use project consisting 3,365 residential units, retail units and an observatory deck. The project locating right beside the ocean had a large influence on the design itself. The landmark towers, connected in the sky with the amenity spaces, took inspiration from the wings of a flying seagull. The design of the towers closer to the sea took the idea of crystal, with large diagonal cuts on the building facade. The design for the towers further away from the sea took inspiration from light house. The project eventually won the votes from the residents in the area and emerged winner of the competition.

THE FOUR ELEMENTS
Project: Location: Date:
Residential S.Korea, Daegu 2019
Another winning project by Hyundai Development Company (HDC)’s IPARK, this time locating at Daegu. The concept of adopting elements of nature, water, wind, fire and earth, is to create a harmonized living environment, generating a new form of residential culture. The flow of water and wind creates a new wave on the facade of the buildings and that language is being further carried out from the towers to the ground floor terrace house. The flow of fire creates a illuminated wave surrounding the complex, bringing the sense of liveness into the project. The flow created by the earth produce a new wave of culture on to the community area on the ground floor. The project also includes sky bridge acting as a sky lounge for the residents and also retail areas to satisfy the needs of the residents.
