< Click on this link to go to the Classic Car Club of America website for details of the Annual Meeting and activities and a link to the registration form >

The Michigan/Ontario Region has always been represented by one of the largest contingents at CCCA National Meetings and this year we expect to repeat that attendance record.

A group of MI Region members is planning to travel together by train & wishes to extend an invitation to all to consider joining them for a two-day, fun trip from Detroit to Reno

(wouldn't you rather spend the travel time in the Club Car ?).

Depending on your personal schedule it is possible that you may wish to split the trip - traveling by train in only one direction. Plans are being finalized so please contact either Floy Barthel (lfbarthel@yahoo.com) or Greg Stachura (gstachura@comcast.net) to discuss your interest & plans. Michigan Central Station was an iconic structure and gateway to Detroit. Many of us remember it and there is a website that has many pictures that will remind us of what a beautiful building it was.

- Announcing The Michigan/Ontario Region CCCA is now on Facebook !!! https://www.facebook.com/MIONregionCCCA/ While 'social media' might not garner the enthusiasm of all our members it can provide us with visibility - especially to younger people who might find an interest in Classic Cars® and represent the future of our club. What are some of the advantages ? Many of us own or are enthusiastic about nonclassic cars and have interests beyond CCCA. A Facebook page allows us to communicate information about these other interests, cars, and activities; we can share what some of our members are doing beyond just our Region; keep a calendar with events involving other clubs (after all, there are many marques represented within our club that have their own websites); post timely news (don't have to wait for a publication date to roll around); see places & people that we know; we can introduce materials that are not allowed on our club website (according to CCCA guidelines); we can include videos, slideshows, links, etc. And we won't fill your 'inbox' with unwanted notices (since visiting the Facebook page is your option, whenever you wish). The site has been 'up' for a few weeks and during that time visible to just a few members for feedback as we have experimented with the software and tried to get used to the techniques. But it is now time to open it up to you for your suggestions and comments. Initially, we intend to limit this site to all ‘classic’ (small 'c') transportation related materials (so please, no controversial issues); in order to do that we will edit what can be 'posted.' Please visit, 'Like' us if you are pleased, and by all means submit materials for potential posting and offer your constructive suggestions to: jayf3641@sbcglobal.net - I am anxious for feedback !

We wish to remember some members we have recently lost
