12. This year’s fourth grade quilt (53’ x 81”) is an “I Spy” quilt. Children can hunt for patches in the border that match each jar in the center of the quilt or play the tried and true “I spy” game using the patterns incorporated in the many patches. This quilt was designed by art teacher Kim Bergey and pieced and quilted by many loving grandmothers of the fourth grade students. Each fourth grader chose his/her own fabric for their individual jar. Their personalities are truly reflected in the quilt.

Then be prepared for whatever the weather of the day is and join Mrs. Wanamaker out front of the school to greet all of the students as they enter the building. From there, come inside and say the morning prayer and announcements. Grab your principal name tag made especially for you and head out to visit each classroom. From there, who knows where the day will take us. As the day progresses, you will help Mrs. Wanamaker with various administrative tasks that might include substituting in a classroom, doing lunch duty, helping solve a playground disagreement or cleaning up a spill. Somewhere between 1 and 2 pm, you’ll grab lunch with Mrs. Wanamaker and help read the afternoon emails.
