When you ask any family, teen, college student or senior what their one complaint about Greater Saint John (besides the fog) is when they first move here - it is NO coming events calendar. There isn’t a one stop shop that would appeal to moms, kids, pub-goers alike. That’s where the Loyalist comes in. Easy to read, easy to reference, the Loyalist wants to be YOUR Go-To Guide for everything Saint John, not just the well advertised stuff. I found myself clicking from website to website, and scrolling infinitely through facebook JUST to figure out what to each weekend, and in this, the inaugural issue, I hope that you find this guide just as handy as I do. Let me break you in with a couple of FAQ’s that have already been asked. Does it come in print format? It sure does. And it can be delivered anywhere you like. The cost is $10 per issue. Is it free online? Yes. If you are reading this, than you haven't yet paid a dime, and you won’t ! Ever! Scout’s honour! (or in my case in the early 80’s Girl Guide’s Honour!) Have an event? Send it to jaymee@live.ca (yes its my personal email so be nice!) Want to have this bad boy delivered to your inbox? SUBSCRIBE HERE

Quickly becoming a Christmas tradition, Theatre New Brunswick is back with another classic, heartwarming, great for the whole family, production. Miracle on 34th Street newly adapted by Caleb Marshall | From the story by Valentine Davies - I believe… I believe… At Macy’s department store Christmas is big business. By chance they’ve hired Kris, a nice old man with whiskers, as this year’s Santa Claus. His unconventional ways unleash wave waves of goodwill that turn Macy’s and the commercial world of New York City upside down. As the debate over Santa Claus heads for the courts, Kris Kringle manages to change the lives of an idealistic lawyer, a world-weary mother and one little girl along the way. A Christmas classic for more than 65 years, this story of triumph of faith over greed, goodwill over commercialism is as relevant and meaningful as ever.
