Quality Built has been collecting data on construction in the United States for over 25 years. In fact, Quality Built has more data on construction than any other company in the world. Our experience combined with our technology gives us the unique ability to quantify quality and to create a comprehensive documentation profile for individual homes. During the Great Recession a record number of properties went into foreclosure. Mortgage servicing companies were not equipped to handle the maintenance and management of the number of properties coming back to them. The problems were compounded by the fact that they had no information about the properties! Most of these properties were sold in auction. The FDIC sold them in blocks and the buyers had to hire companies such as Quality Built to perform Property Condition Assessments to determine what they had recently purchased!

The Energywise Home Program follows the standard and rating matrix of the Capital Markets Partnership Green Value Score.™ The Energywise Green Value Score is a score ranging from 25-100 that rates a home on its overall achievement of aspects relating to energy/water efficiency and associated operating costs, indoor environmental quality and quality of construction. Quality Built partners with builders to prepare them for future code changes and build energy-efficient quality homes above code and ahead of the curve. Our Residential Quality Assurance Program has been developed based on our more than 20 years of data analysis and experience. Our services are specifically tailored to ease the challenges you face every day, while providing you transparency and accountability at all levels. TECHNICAL PEER PLAN REVIEW

Technical Plan Review™ is an integral part of any comprehensive Risk Management program. Quality Built specializes in providing comprehensive, multi-disciplined Plan Review services performed by a team of expert and experienced forensic architects, professional engineers and code professionals to identify code and design deficiencies.

HOME ENERGY RATING (HERS®) ASSESSMENT & TESTING

Quality Built will provide the third-party Home Energy Rating (HERS®) Assessment and performance testing. Quality Built’s Home Energy Rating System (HERS®) Raters are active ENERGY STAR Partner and certified by RESNET. Our Home Energy Raters will inspect each home and measures its energy characteristics, such as insulation levels, window efficiency, wallto-window ratios, the heating and cooling system efficiency, the solar orientation of the home, and the water heating system. Diagnostic testing will also be performed and includes: • Blower Door Testing For Air Leakage • Duct Blaster Leakage Testing The energy performance assessment will verify that qualifying homes include these important energy-saving features: • Increased Insulation Values • Tighter Building Shells • High Performance HVAC Systems • High-Efficiency Windows If you prefer to use another certified RESNET Home Energy Rater you may do so, as long as we receive copies of the energy performance assessment including diagnostic testing reports and the HERS Index Score so that we can convert it to an Energywise Green Value Score.

PRODUCT AND MATERIAL INVENTORY AND TRACKING

Our product and material inventory and tracking is a way of effectively implementing a Quality Assurance and Products and Materials Inventory Management Plan. All Energyefficient feature as well as specific materials, products and appliances will be registered as they are installed on your project. No longer will builders be unable to quantify and track defective or recalled products, such as Chinese Drywall. Quality Built® will work with your project’s trade contractors and suppliers to obtain specific information such as origin, make, model and serial number, where applicable, and record where those products and materials are installed. This process allows for quantification of products, materials and appliances, so as to facilitate repair, replacement, warranty recalls or alerts of defective, deficient and/or hazardous products and/or materials as new information becomes available in the marketplace.

IMPLEMENTATION Quality Built can have you up and running in no time. You will be guided by our industry experts every step of the way and have access to our wealth of knowledge and innovative, proprietary solutions. STEP ONE - PROJECT INFORMATION:

Provide us the same information as required by any Third-Party Quality Assurance company. CHECKLIST: Executed Energywise Program Agreement Plans • Construction drawings, including construction details of insulation levels and placement; • Specifications for windows; • Specifications for space conditioning and water heating equipment; • Procedures used for duct sealing; and, • Procedures used for sealing the building envelope. Site Maps • A list of lots, addresses, and their respective plan numbers. Equipment and materials documentation • Windows, glazed doors, skylights—specification sheet with manufacturer’s name that demonstrates NFRC rated U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) • Air conditioner—specification sheet with manufacturer’s name/ model numbers for condenser/coil match or AHRI reference number for each proposed unit (www.ahridirectory.org) that has an efficiency rating GREATER than SEER 13, EER 11 • Water heater—specification sheet with manufacturer’s name/ model number and efficiency rating. STEP THREE - TRAINING:

Complete program orientation and training is included for superintendents and trades on the Quality Assurance and HERS® Assessment and performance testing process, communication of open item closure process and roles and responsibilities. Continuing education support is available.

STEP FOUR - DATA COLLECTION BEGINS:

Data is reviewed every 90 to 180 days and any recommended changes to the program will be presented to the client. Clients may request changes at any time.
