fter almost two years of solely distant and online learning, the Tanauan City College administration is finally ready to reopen and hold in-person classes for the upcoming academic year, 2022-2023. Due to the existing COVID -19 pandemic, there are many things to consider before preparing for face-to-face classes. TANAUAN CITY COLLEGE RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT EXTENSION SERVICES Dian Teves Research Development Extension Services (RDES) promotes and renders research and extension services to the College. It will exercise general supervision and coordination of all programs, projects, and activities of the various units under its offices, plan programs for research activities, and gear these towards the growth and development of the College and the city. The office will also carry out close working relations and linkages with appropriate government agencies and non-government organizations. It recommends and implements policies and guidelines governing research and extension of the College.

to equip themselves with essential proficiency and competencies such as establishing policy and manuals to open the mind of the students in terms of research. The office will conduct a series of webinars or seminars on conducting a research study and hold an institutional congress to showcase the research conducted by the faculty and students.

Even before there is already an established research and development office, the problem is a person who will manage the office, a full-time person to oversee the RDES. The research and extension process is already an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) accredited or approved by the City Government of Tanauan.

Through Extension Services, the community can benefit from the projects in different programs. Also, RDES will become a facilitator and mediator in the projects needed to be accomplished, like in the signing of the MOA to different partners.

The research study conducted by the faculty and students must be presented to international conferences and published. Also, writing a manual would be a part of establishing a concrete policy for the institution.

TCC administration adopts the concept of organizing the Research Development Extension Services as it is one of the CHED (Commission on Higher Education) requirements at every tertiary level to establish a research and extension department. It must be followed as it is part of the accreditation agency's evaluation instrument of the output of the RDES. Research Development and Extension Services Council (RDESC) is created to serve as the policy-determining body and clearinghouse of the College. RDES contributes effectively to the institution and the community. Aside from being the requirement of CHED, it can contribute to the sustainability of the community from the research through extension projects. RDES helps the students

OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS: THE TCCIANS BRIDGE? Jackielyn Jhan Gendrano The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is the school's principal point of contact with students. The OSA ensures that policies are put in place to promote students' academic goals and overall development. The Office of Student Affairs is in charge of monitoring the students' welfare and discipline on campus. Overseeing the implementation of programs and activities by non-academic organizations is one of the functions of the office. Student activities such as school publication, culture and arts, sports, leadership, and scholarship grants are the focus of OSA. Mostly, keeping an eye on non-academic organizations is what the OSA does. The Office of Student Affairs of Tanauan City College has four non-academic organizations. All the programs and activities conducted by those organizations go through the OSA for approval first. During the implementation, it supervises to ensure the protocols are being followed regarding the execution of programs. They also inspect the budgetary requirements to see if the funds allocated are appropriately used by the non-academic organization. Aside from that, the scholarship, specifically the TES scholarship by the CHED, is also under the OSA. They collect students' applications for the TES scholarship and the requirements and submit them to the CHED. In just one year, as the Office of Student Affairs Dean, Mrs. Shara May J. Logan and other personnel experienced the activeness of the different organizations. She saw it as a key milestone for the office with the continuous opportunity to open new non-academic organizations. One of the newest organizations is Campus Connect, which serves as the campus ministry that focuses on sharing God's words. Furthermore, being organized and connected to the different organizations is also an achievement for the office. Some of the programs and activities are held with the collaboration of these non-academic organizations. Due to the students' different interests, OSA aims to open more non-academic organizations that cater to the students' specific hobbies or interests. She emphasizes that the office wanted to ensure that all students belong to an organization to which they can relate. She firmly believes that belonging to an organization related to their interests helps the students relieve their stress from academic work. It will serve as an escapade for the students and promote their personal growth inside the organization.

“Kasi parang stress reliever ang non-acad na organization…mga gusto nilang gawin like for example specific is photography tapos yung mahihilig sa photography magsama-sama, yung mahihilig magbasa diba so marami pang organization na maopen ang OSA” – Mrs. Shara May J. Logan To achieve the goals for the office, she doesn't see a need for a change, but she stated that there's room for improvement. She points out that changes for the office depend on the higher-ups who will implement them. For the betterment of the office, any changes will be made, and they will obey them. Nonetheless, OSA has a significant impact on students' well-being. It is in charge of overseeing and guiding recognized student organizations and councils. It keeps track of all student-led and student-related events. It wasn't an easy job to supervise the whole student non-academic organization. However, with good leadership, its personnel, and a good relationship with the students, nothing will be impossible for the growth and fulfillment of the goals of the OSA.

Noprada, isang kadete na! Ronnie P. Precilla

Man is not more remarkable than or less than women and vice-versa; instead, man is equal to women, and woman is equal to man. Some people barely know equality, and we must not tolerate that. We must let every one of us understand that we are all different in our unique ways. What does that mean? Let's say that one person chose to be different from you, and you should accept that. In this generation, gender equality is on-trend.

Based on a Ghanaian diplomat, Kofi Annan, gender equality is not just about fair treatment for males and females. If we live and strive hard for it, it can be the answer to our world's most significant problem; poverty. A specific group of leaders made an organization; Millennium Development Goals are a group of goals with measurable targets and clear deadlines that will help improve the lives of the world's less fortunate citizens. Leaders from 186 countries signed the historic millennium declaration at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 to attain the eight goals and eliminate poverty. FOLIO Irish Jean Badillo "A garden is where you can find a whole spectrum of life, birth, and death" - Tiffany Baker. An Individual’s garden is either the death of a person you used to be or the birth of a person you will become. In this book called life, some chapters are sad, while others are cheerful and exciting, but if you never turn the pages, you'll never know what awaits you in the next chapter. Tanauan City College's official literary folio is called a "Balangaw." For the most part, Chapter 2020 has been a trying year, but it has been a bright spot for a few. The primary division of the book has different bearing stories that help to see fragments of themselves and become an intruder of minds. It's a privilege to be able to meditate on your soul and how you see yourself as a caricature. It can be a means to enhance a p e r s o n ' s es s en t i a l essence by projecting a skewed vision of how they used to be, or it can simply be a technique to create a fascinating version of them with a touch of humor. Amidst a pandemic, a person can make themselves the perfect caricature, i.e., one that most accurately exaggerates, to the maximum extent, the peculiarities of a human being at his most characteristic moment in the most beautiful manner. Everyone is a mosaic of polished caricatures when they achieve their full potential. A glance through a monochrome photograph welcomes us to their strange world, together with the abyss of their thoughts. These pictures show the emotions and screams left unheard. The soul's existence in every piece of monochrome shaded depth and meaning to their silent battles—a message of heavy steps, reaching out, innocence, and silence. A show of silver linings amidst a pandemic where people are like blooming cosmos in the field. Just like how light dances through a glass pane, displaying a rainbow of colors in an arrow. The color of one's thoughts becomes dyed in the soul.

Everyone understands that life isn't all flowers, but understanding the presence of these thorns and enjoying them for your benefit takes time. Caricature, monochrome, or similar spectrum can be used to express the depth of our soul in our life folio.
