Message from National Executive Vice President, Jeff Lu We are already in the 3rd quarter of 2016. When I look back at the achievements of Area Sabah’s Local Chapters during the past three months, I could not feel more proud and grateful to be part of this wonderful family. 2016 is proving to be a year filled with challenges but also with opportunities. Area Sabah has had an interesting and wonderful start of the year with lots of impactful events that happened. On top of that, Area Sabah also took the challenge and compete in the 2016 Asia Pacific Conference Debate Championship and Public Speaking Championship, came back with a 1st runner-up for Debate Championship and not forgetting receiving The Most Outstanding Member Award by NVP Alvis Loo from JCI Tanjung Aru. With the perseverance and hard work of all our members and the support of the National organisation and local organisa-tions, we were able to pull through all the hurdles. Inline with its 2016 presidential theme “Influential Relationship”, Area Sabah wants to provide a platform for its members to learn, grow, be better and in turn empower other youngsters. My message to all the new members and aspiring members will be to grab the opportunity as it presents itself. Even if you are unsure, say yes and learn how to do it after! Before ending, I would like to thank my Influential Relationship team for their unflinching support since January. Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you have to inspire teammates and customers. - Robin S. Sharma
