JCSM’s Advisory Board members are appointed to a three-year renewable term by Auburn University’s President based on the recommendations of the current board. This volunteer group is comprised of individuals who are passionate about the arts and dedicated to the important role JCSM plays as a cultural leader in both the community and across campus. JCSM is grateful to all of these individuals for their generous support and their tireless work advocating the mission and vision of the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.

Docents, or tour guides, lead tours and assist with select programs under the guidance and supervision of the K–12 curator of education and participate in training sessions throughout the year, covering topics ranging from art history to information about specific museum exhibitions. Anyone interested in joining our team should contact JCSM’s tour coordinator, Debbie Frojo at 334-844-3486 or jcsmtours@auburn.edu.
901 COLLECTIVE
901 Collective is a group open to university students who are interested in volunteering at JCSM or developing resources with the K-12 department. JCSM began piloting this initiative in September, and we currently have students who volunteer with family and school programs, develop resources for the museum galleries, and assist our marketing and communications team. If you are a student or know a student who would like to volunteer with the museum, contact Xoe Fiss, xoefiss@auburn.edu.

WAYS TO SUPPORT
Annual Gifts
There are several annual giving programs, such as memberships and the 1072 Society, that provide donors with convenient ways to support JCSM with contributions.
Endowed Gifts
Endowed gifts create a legacy of philanthropic support since they are held and invested to produce income to be used for a donor-designated purpose. The original principal remains intact and unspent in perpetuity, with the earnings on the invested principal distributed to JCSM purpose specified by the donor.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts, also known as estate gifts or bequests, allow donors to support JCSM at the time of their death. Giving in this manner offers the donor a number of financial and/or tax benefits, and can include real property, stocks, retirement plan assets, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, and partnership interests.
Areas to Give
• Exhibition and Program Sponsorships • Phase II Building Expansion • Collections and Conservation • Museum Endowed Personnel Positions • Student Internships
