STYLE WATCH:
JENNIFER FISHER “I wanted to create jewelry that signified my own personal style, incorporated all things I loved, and could be worn all the time.”
5
Jennifer Fisher began her career in fashion, working as a stylist for numerous feature films, television shows, and commercials. After 10 years of dressing some of the biggest names in Hollywood, Jennifer met her husband and moved to New York City where they decided to start her family. When their child Shane was born Jennifer wanted a piece of jewelry that not only had his name on it, but also expressed her personal style. Unable to find anything unique and not mass produced, she designed her
own special piece that reflected the significance of his birth. It was a simple dog tag charm that was hand stamped with his name on it, which she wore on a long, thick link chain. After friends, family, and strangers requesting that Jennifer make them pieces of their own, Jennifer Fisher Jewelry was born. Today, her clientele has grown from the everyday woman to celebrities alike, providing each person with individualized pieces and the personal attention they deserve.

the boyfriend
aesthetic The 21st-century shift to blokish clothes, goes the lore, began five-ish years ago with a denim micro-fad. Oppressed by the stretchto-fit grip of the ubiquitous skinny jean, a group of nonconformists began wearing roomier, slouchier styles. Crucially, when of-the-period celebrities like Katie Holmes (pictured below) started wearing them, too, magazines labelled her jeans with the prefix ‘’boyfriend’’.

Sandro ABOUT THE DESIGNERS/ EVELYNE AND ILAN CHETRITE
It is Evelyne Chetrite’s eye for detail that makes every Sandro collection special, feminine, and distinctly French. Growing up in Morocco, fashion drew her in as a little girl. Back then, life was all about warmth, family, and life under the hot sun. When Evelyne was 15, her family moved to Paris. The department store windows in the Opera neighborhood were not far from her home, and the changing fashion trends immediately spoke to her. As a student, Evelyne held a series of weekend jobs at flea markets and later at shops in Saint Germain des PrÊs. She felt at home with the entertaining designers and interesting customers that would come back for her expert eye. At University, she met Didier Chetrite, a friend of a friend who soon became
her husband. A young entrepreneur, ready for business, he had started up a ready to wear business and was in desperate need of a muse. While in school, Evelyne sought distraction between classes and would come to see him, increasingly offering her opinion. Their first hit was a series of dresses in patterned patchwork with bubble sleeves that were bohemian chic, loose but with a real style and presence. After their first success, Didier expanded his office and hired a designer to work with Evelyne. Sandro was born in 1984 and opened its first boutique on Rue Vieille du Temple in the heart of the Marais. It has grown to be a label known for feminine, versatile dressing. Today, Sandro has a huge global following with 202 boutiques worldwide.

HO THE WOMAN BEHIND MENSWEAR Photographed By: Jake Davis Styled By: Jessica Di Biase

mens The trend of female models fashioning menswear is nothing we’re terribly upset about,
so the Fall 2013 editorial from Los Angeles-based retailer Mohawk General Store is especially invited. The store tapped streetwear’s darling – Adrianne Ho – to sport a range of new men’s and women’s releases from Dries van Noten, Acne, Our Legacy, A.P.C. and more. Familiar trends such as camouflage and slim sweatpants make their way into the suggested stylings, but more impressive is the selection of jackets: weighted pea coats, premium varsity jackets and windbreakers serve to remind of the power of layers during the seasonal transition. Enjoy the above, and be sure to check out Mohawk General Store at its original location, or at its new space in Pasadena, California.

Part of the excitement for me is adjusting my lifestyle to new climates. And travelling allows me to do that.
”
You may recognize Adrianne Ho from her GQ spread for UNIS, Jake Davis‘ “Test Shots,” or countless shoots in which she proves that streetwear looks better on the fairer sex. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past year, she has been hard to miss. Strikingly beautiful, the half-French, half-Chinese Toronto native is, as some people put it, the new “it girl,” the “anti-heroin chic model,” and a woman who represents the intersection of power, independence and sexuality, all within connections to the city in a relevant way. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the clothes she models are almost as covetable — an of-the-moment mix of streetwear labels like Supreme and Stussy, #menswear and Nike. Here, we talk to the the Ford Models NYC and Next Management LA model and her job, mixed ancestry and becoming the unofficial streetwear/menswear face of the moment.
