Discover Korea Stay Here ! Jinan Gongju Gongju was the capital of the ancient Baekje Kingdom from 475 to 539 before the kingdom moved its capital to Buyeo. The kingdom fell when Silla unified the Korean Peninsula in the 7th century. Many remains of Baekje’s former glory are well preserved in these two old capitals.

Jinan is the source of the Seomjingang River, the uppermost Geumgang river, along with noted mountains of mystique, Mai Mountain, Unjang Mountain, Gubong Mountain, Unilam and Banilam. Mai Mountain, the only double peaked mountain in the world, is at the center of Jinan Heights on the boundary of the Noryeong Mountains, approximately 32km to the east of Jeonju and 3km to the southeast of Jinan-Eup. It looks like a horse’s ear and the whole mountain consists of the sedimentary rocks.

Gwangju Daejeon Daejeon is a large city located in the center of Korea. Major train lines and expressways go through this home of government, science and education facilities. Tourist sites include theme parks, water parks and a zoo.

Jeonju Here you can find shops specializing in Hanji (traditional Korean paper). Hanji is used in calligraphy and in making umbrellas, fans and other items. Jeonju is also famous for its bibimbap (rice mixed with vegetables and meat). It is an important tourist center famous for Korean food, historic buildings, sports activities and innovative festivals.

Gwangju is the sixth largest city in South Korea. It is a designated metropolitan city under the direct control of the central government’s Home Minister. The city was also the capital of South Jeolla Province until the provincial office moved to the southern village of Namak in Muan County in 2005. Gwangju is the birthplace of the modern democratic movement in Korea and keeps the history well preserved. Today, Gwangju hosts annual cultural festivals related to both food and art.

Boseong Boseong is the birthplace of Seopyeonje, a southwestern-style pansori (narrative solo song), and is also the home of some large green tea plantations that now supply 40% of the country’s green tea. The Boseong Green Tea Festival (Dahyangje) is held around harvest season in the spring and includes a tea picking contest, a brewing contest and a tea ceremony demonstration. A green tea spa may be an interesting thing to try while you are there.

Suncheon Suncheon (Suncheon-si) is a city in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. It is a scenic agricultural and industrial city of around 250,000 people near Suncheon Bay. It is located in the southeastern corner of Jeollanam-do, just over an hour south-east of Gwangju. Sucheon is especially well-known as Suncheon bay as well as Naganeupseong Folk Village. Suncheon bay is known to be the area which rare birds inhabit and the unique habitat of a hooded crane. Wetlands, including “swamps,” “marshes” and “bogs”, is an area of transition connecting sea and land.

Yeosu Yeosu is located midway along the south coast of the Korean Peninsula. It borders Namhae, South Gyeongsang Province, to the east and Goheung, South Jeolla Province to the west. It also shares boundaries with Suncheon to the east and Jeju Island to the south. Surrounded by the sea, Yeosu commands a panoramic view of an archipelago centering on Gamak Bay and Yeoja Bay. Scenery is outstanding, in many ways mimicking a beautiful watercolor painting. As a city flanked by mountains and hills gently sloping southward, Yeosu has relatively little flat land.

Jinju Jinju, a small city located on both sides of the Namgang River, makes a convenient base to explore the eastern part of Jirisan National Park. As a city that has held 1,000-year-old historical heritage of the ancient city, Jinju has been well renowned as a home of patriotic spirit, education, culture and art. It is best known for the famous battles fought here during the Japanese invasions in the late 16th century.

Busan is Korea’s principal port and second largest city. It is the primary port for ferry service to Japan and is the gateway to the Hallyeo Maritime National Park and its picturesque islands. As an international port city with a population of 3.8million, Busan has first-class hotels and restaurants to match its excellent beaches, outstanding shopping and sightseeing areas.

Andong Andong is the home of Confucianism in Korea. During the Joseon Dynasty, Andong attracted scores of Confucian scholars becoming a pioneering city in Confucian thought. This city also contained the highest number of private schools from the Joseon Dynasty as well as Confucian schools. To this day, Andong still has around 26 private schools from the Joseon Dynasty. This city also acted as a home to the noble class during the Joseon period. Many of the homes of the noble class are still standing in Andong; some are kept up by the relatives of the original owner. These are great places to experience the essence of Korea’s traditional lifestyles.

Ulsan Although a representative industrial city of Korea, the nearby Eastern sea and the natural surroundings have blessed Ulsan. At Jangsaengpohang Port, which was once the base of whale fishing until 1980 when it was prohibited, the Ulsan Whale Festival is held every May. Recently, the Whale Museum, the Whale Experience Hall, the Whale Cruise Travel Line, and more are attracting many visitors.

Gyeongju As the capital of the Silla Kingdom for almost a thousand years, Gyeongju preserves vast amount of significant and fascinating historical heritages. Along with Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, the Gyeongju Historical District has been designated as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Due to the bountiful historical, natural and cultural attractions, this region has long been a major tourist destination in Korea. The incredible 992 year history of the Unified Silla Kingdom (57 B.C. ~A.D. 935) makes today’s Gyeongju a tourist’s dream. This picturesque city allows tourists to step back in time, experience the beauty of the land and exquisite architecture and view numerous relics from the Unified Silla Kingdom. This one of a kind historical treasure of a city attracts around 8~9 million tourists a year (both domestic and foreign).

Gangneung

Gangneung is a city in Gangwon-do, on the east coast of South Korea. It has a population of about 230,000. Gangneung is the economic centre of the Yeongdong region of Gangwon Province. Gangneung has many tourist attractions, such as Jeongdongjin, a very popular area for watching the sun rise, Gyeongpo Beach and Jumunjin Fish Market.

Seoraksan Wonju Wonju played an important role in the region’s political, economic, and cultural affairs in the past, as it was the location of the Gangwon Gamyeong (Gangwon-do Provincial Governor’s Headquarters) during the Joseon Dynasty. Seoraksan National Park is considered one of Korea’s most beautiful mountain parks, and is made up of Oeseorak (Outer Seorak), Naeseorak (Inner Seorak) and Namseorak (Southern Seorak). It has numerous valleys well known for their spring blossoms and fall foliage. This 354 km² park is famous for lush green valleys, granite peaks, glorious waterfalls, several temples and two hot springs. A point of interest are Biseondae rock flat, named after the legend of an angel ascending to heaven from the rock flat and Osaek Mineral Springs, which is thought to bring relief from digestive ailments.

Seoul Seoul is the capital of Korea and is the heart of Korea’s culture and education as well as politics and economy. Seoul is home to many historic sites and places of traditional culture. TRAVEL CONSUMER RESTITUTION FUND DISCLOSURE For customers who purchase from within the State of California: This transaction is covered by the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund (TCRF) if the seller of travel was registered and participating in the TCRF at the time of sale and the customer is located in California at the time of payment. Eligible customers may file a claim with TCRF if the customer is owed a refund of more than $50 for transportation or travel services that the seller of travel failed to forward to a proper provider or such money was not refunded to you when required. The maximum amount that may be paid by the TCRF to any one customer is the total amount paid on behalf of the customer to the seller of travel, not to exceed $15,000. RENTAL CARS Each rental day consists of one 24-hour period. Overtime charges must be paid directly to the car rental company (CRC). Car rentals do not include gas, collision damage waiver, drop charges, personal accident insurance, personal effects protection, car seats, additional driver fees, upgrades or extensions of rental beyond the period included. All CRC claims must be settled directly with the CRC. NOTE: A valid driver’s license and security deposit must be provided to the CRC. Minimum driver age varies by destination and type of vehicle. AUTHORITY OF THE LEADER At all times the decision of the HanaTour USA Inc., leader or representative (“HanaTour USA, Leader”) will be final on all matters likely to affect the safety and well-being of the trip. This includes any decision that the HanaTour USA Leader makes about your on-going participation in the trip or certain activities that comprise part of the trip. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a HanaTour USA Leader, or interfere with the well-being of the group, then the HanaTour USA Leader reserves the right to terminate this contract and order you to leave the tour immediately, with no right of refund.

AIR TRANSPORTATION HanaTour USA Inc., has no control over and assumes no liability for airline strikes, schedule changes, flight delays, flight cancellations or other airline initiated changes. In the event of such an occurrence, the airline is responsible and will determine what action will be taken.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY By making a reservation, customer acknowledges that in all events, HanaTour USA Inc., shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages and that the sole extent of HanaTour USA Inc., liability, if any, shall never exceed the amount actually paid by customer to HanaTour USA Inc.
