Jeannette Milland Vigio is a professor of Learning Technologies at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She holds a Master's degree in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. In August 2017, she began graduate studies leading to a doctoral degree in Curriculum with subspecialty in Learning Technologies at the University of Puerto Rico School of Education, Rio Piedras Campus.

Her interests are to create online courses, web contents, virtual learning objects, live data in the Cloud, as well as collecting data interactively, and analyzing and visualizing data on the Web. She is also interested in encouraging more girls in the search for solutions through Computer Science from its various modalities. Professor Milland is the host of a series of social media broadcasts called "Distance Education in Times of COVID19" (in Spanish - Educaciรณn a Distancia en Tiempos del COVID19), a research project which seeks to learn more about the stories of fellow teachers who became heroes, by continuing the distanced educational processes in Puerto Rico, during the shutdown caused by the Coronavirus COVID19. It is an innovative project that uses live streaming, through the YouTube Channel and Facebook, allowing public participation through questions and comments during the broadcast. It also allows asynchronous playback using the link to the resource. In each episode, teachers share strategies and resources they used to successfully complete the semester. You can find various resources classified by area on this website.

Approval Criteria Approval Criteria • Evidence of one virtual learning object created by student • Pass / No Pass • Active participation required The schedule establishes a week to complete the module. However, if you cannot complete the module activities during this period, you will have an additional week. If you need more time after two weeks, please contact the module instructor to coordinate the submission date according to your availability.

Copying (defined as the act of attempting to obtain academic credit through dishonesty, fraud, or cheating), plagiarism (the use of another person's ideas, procedures, information, or words without giving credit to the original author), and any form of falsification of a work is prohibited.
