2 NGOs Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW) provides direct services to children aged 0 – 18 through our centres and the service units at head office. Through our Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Forum, we assist community based organizations in providing services to orphaned and vulnerable children within the communities they serve.

More About the NGO African Children Feeding Sheme has as vision: To care for children. To promote healthy contributing South African Citizens who economically viable, self-sufficient and enjoy individual financial freedom. The NGO is focus on feeding scheme, malnutrition education and rehabilitation, combat HIV and AIDS, take care of orphans and micro economic empowerment.

1 NGO More about the NGO

SARDA: A Non-Profit Organization that offers free therapeutic riding to physically and mentally challenged children and young adults who cannot afford it. We also offer other interactive equine activities to those unable, too frail or too elderly to ride.

3 NGOs Tshwane Home of Hope: Tshwane Home of Hope offers a refuge from prostitution, a safe haven of love, care and hope for girls in crisis. Through love and care, we rekindle the spark of hope in their lives. We value them, and teach them the value of belonging. We reintroduce them to the education system, securing places for them at local schools.

2. Provide skills training to teenagers and adults of the community to equip them to find meaningful employment 3. Gardening: as part of the program, all volunteers are required to assist the village in growing vegetables by assisting in the garden 4. Assist in any events that may take place during your internship, e.g. fundraising projects 5. On weekends the children sometimes go for outings. Volunteers will be required to assist in taking care of the children.
