The PTTEP Technology Innovation Center (PTIC) is located at Wangchan, Rayong, Thailand. The Wangchan Valley district is going to be a Silicon Valley demonstration in the Future. PTTEP, the petroleum provider in Thailand, had an idea to develop the miniature and laboratory Center, which is winning from competition for whole master plan. PTIC is composed with six buildings in Master plan. Building D-F are my responsibility from Design, develop to Construction. Building D construction is completed on March 2022

Status: Complete on March 2022 Laboratory in miniature of petroleum machine of PTTEP company, including of chemical laboratory, mechanical workshop such as alternative energy technology, and industrial manufacturing collaboration with government. Building D is the first building started the construction on this project. There is the planning for the next phase between Architect, Engineer, and Landscape architect TK studio, to plan for retaining pond to be reused in the project.

BUILDING D

During Preliminary design, industrial visual is suitable for building appearance from the team brainstorm idea. The triangle stripe facade is applied along the building and applied for Building B and C.

While building D is only one which is industrial visual, adding more ventilation for workshop area, triangle facade is way tend out of the building to add more dimension and to reduce building massive of the building.

Permission part and Tender part, both parts did at the same time and starting to develop in Revit. During tender, I took responsibility for material selection for building appearance, such as Crane for the workshop, Aluminium composite for front facade cladding, metal sheet cladding for back facade (Service area), and back of house building materials.

2ND FLOOR PLAN

After meeting with sales, develop drawings and specify on drawings. In the part of Revit as Bim architect, facade design and planning had developed to the requirements. Therefore, according to drawings, it goes toward for tender and construction by time.

Construction part, I took responsibility for Monthly site minute of meeting, and consult with Project architect answering for RFI (request for information) and RFA (request for approval). Giving the best solution that remains design to the contractor via consultant relate to site construction by time.

The owner has the image of technology leader in the country. We decided to plan a space for the visitor as a role model in the future. Providing a glass room with 270 degree perception for visitor for seeing. They could not enter in the space of the data stack because they need high protection.

House in Thai is also called ‘BAAN’ is the space for living and being themselves for residents. Every house has their own space for living following how owner lives. The location of this placed is embed and crowded with people from hotel and community mall. Owner demands to escape crowded area and isolate this house as comfortable and peaceful for the family. I took the responsibility on design, development, material selection, tender, and permission. Meeting with owner to develop and find the best solution design based on preliminary and current owner’s demands.

So, our team designs this house as two separate houses, garden wing and pool wing with centered-courtyard garden as facility of these two houses.

The hidden concept is need context-isolated, which is the facade of the house is hiding all activity of people inside the house. We planned the service, maid area at the front of the house to hide activity inside. A part of that, the living area and bedroom is at centered of the house, the other support functions are surrounded causes of; privacy brings to the inside of the house, decreasing noise pollution from context.

Then, put all the data and information to Revit to develop drawings for each state. Younger Son Older Son Courtyard

2ND FLOOR PLAN

The hidden house has three and a half storey, which is centered separate as a garden wing (left) and pool wing (right). Each wing has its own function, but they share common facilities such as garden at the left and the pool at the right all we called courtyard on the first floor and also parking lots. On the second floor, garden wing is double volume of the public living room where is the most crowded are in this house. Pool wing is provided for the bedroom of the first generation(owner and her spouse).

EXTERIOR

INTERIOR

The highlight of this house is terraced garden where is aligned in the front of the house, double volume height with skylight. To bring natural ventilation from triangle facade chamber design.

Exterior appearance is walled with a chamber for an indirect natural ventilation cause they do not want to face with the uncomfortable context surroundings.

This area, known as people assembly, or just visiting. They will precept garden courtyard atmosphere while they are not too close to the living area of the owner area.

Interior appearance, to reduce massive perception as exterior, we designed with curve feature wall that made of brick masonry wall.

At Exterior, aluminium folding window with manual lock to let natural ventilation and sunlight into the house by pocket area (non-AC). At Interior, aluminium awning and fixed window to let natural and sunlight in the house. In this case, owner require for easy to maintenance and easy to cleaning every single window. Awning window is the easiest way and familiar to users. REVIT IN DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PROCESS In the Revit part in Design development, the most concern topic is door and window. Owner requirements are natural ventilation with high security.
