We draw inspiration for each of our products from our travels around the globe. We continue to find innovative techniques and captivating textures that can only come from natural materials to integrate into our unique pieces.
As we have grown, so have our collections to include designs that are eclectic, classic, modern, designs that utilize eco-friendly and sustainable materials wherever possible.

our founder
After moving to the United States for college from her home in Indonesia, Caroline spent many years working as a chemical engineer. Though she enjoyed what she did, deep down, some sense of fulfillment was still missing from her work life.
Inspired by her parents, Caroline decided to pursue her dream as an entrepreneur and to create an avenue to actively contribute to her local and global community.
“Growing up in Indonesia gave me the opportunity to see unparalleled craftsmanship and appreciate the beauty in the earth’s resources.”
Her love of artisanal craftsmanship, such as the traditional methods of weaving, and carving, became the foundation of her business.
As an immigrant business owner, there were many obstacles to overcome as she navigated the gritty details of importing and sales of products, but from her tenacity was born the Jeffan International of today .

our roots
Jeffan was founded on a humble desire to fulfill a need in the furniture industry; to create furniture from sustainably sourced materials utilizing traditional, generationally taught methods.
We believe that we have a social responsibility to protect the world we live in. Using responsibly harvested woods, collected oyster and coconut shells, and other renewable materials, we have curated a collection that makes a captivating and eco-friendly statement.
Creating products by hand and utilizing natural dyes whenever possible means our products have minimal impact on the environment.

From polishing translucent capiz shells to weaving rattan and other natural fibers by hand, our artisans have worked diligently over the years to perfect their craft and deliver a unique statement pieces straight to your home.

Our materials are carefully chosen and curated for each one of our products. We value that each type of material has its own unique strengths and characteristics that are factored into why it is chosen . Woven, carved, and assembled by hand, only the best pieces of the materials are used to create durable and long-lasting products.
