Bruno the Brussels

Bruno the Brussels was born on January 9, 2009 in southern New Jersey. A Brussels Griffon, he was the last of a litter of pups, and at age five he traveled by the New Jersey Turnpike to settle in Jackson Heights, Queens, where he spends his days chasing squirrels and eating liver treats (when he is good). This is his first newsletter.
BRUNO FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Happy Birthday!
Bruno recently celebrated his first birthday, complete with a surprise organic cookie cupcake (with candle), new toys, and lots of attention. Though the hat was a bit big, he still enjoyed his day of pampering by his owners, Jeff and Alfonso. And he has since charged ahead into what he considers the Terrible Twos.
Bruno’s Favorites
Bruno the Brussels has his favorite toys and spots that make his days special. Here are his Top 10:
Bruno the Brussels traveled to his second home in December for the holidays. A few days before Christmas, he stepped into his sherpa (his fourth due to zipper cravings) and flew via Southwest Airlines to Chicago. Returning to Pullman, on Chicago’s south side, he 1. spot (his puppy day care place on Murray Street in Manhattan) 2. The corner of the living room couch 3. Flushing-Meadow Corona Park 4. Burrowing beneath pillows 5. Amy at PetCo
immediately played with his long-distance canine companions Gabe and Ben and (unfortunately) enjoyed too many table scraps. He also froze a bit too much when frolicking in the backyard. He looks forward to returning to the Quiroz household later this year.
