Before the partial diversion of the Rupert River

After the partial diversion of the Rupert River

The outflow from the Rivière Eastmain was ± 600 m3/s. The natural inflows (i.e., the water from nearby mountains and rivers) to Opinaca reser voir is ± 300 m3/s. The total flow at the spillway of Sarcelle powerhouse was hence ± 900 m3/s.

New inflows from the Ruper t diversion are ± 450 m3/s, for a total flow of ± 1,350 m3/s to Sarcelle powerhouse.
