Parent Information Q&A Where are you going?

Spruce Lake Retreat is located in in Canadensis, Pa. It is located in the Poconos and is about a 3 hour drive from southern New Jersey.

What are you doing?

Our November retreat each year has always been about resting, relaxing, and studying God’s word. Nothing is structured aside from the time we spend in God’s word each day.

How much does it cost?

The total price is $150.00.

When is everything due?

Registration will be open until Friday November 2nd. You MUST be registered by then.

What do I need to hand in?

Registration is all completed online along with paymeny. You can still pay via cash or check, see Pastor Jeff.

You also need to hand in a signed waiver, you will be directed to our waiver immediately after payment.

What should my student pack?

When we get closer to our retreat we’ll be sending out a Reminder of what to pack, but here’s some things to keep in mind as you prepare. All students will need to bring their towel, toiletries, extra clothes, warm clothes, an extra pair of sneakers, flashlight, Bible and notebook.

What is the purpose of the trip?

We want to use this trip as an opportunity for the students to bond with one another and focus on God. This retreat is all about building relationships.

What about cell phones?

We do not allow students to bring their cell phones on retreats in the hopes it will encourage face to face interaction. We want to be free from distractions and focus on God. If you have a question or concern with this policy please speak to Pastor Jeff.

Who can I contact in case of an emergency?

There will be plenty of available leaders whom you can contact if you need to get in touch with your son/daughter. During drop off you can pick up a list of leaders names and their contact information.

When are you leaving?

We’re leaving on Thursday Morning at 9:00am. Please arrive by 8:45am to have sufficient time to load the van and ensure all your paperwork is in order.

When will you return?

We’ll return back at church at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon. This time will be dependent on factors such as weather and traffic. We will have the students call on our way home to help with a more accurate time.
