Already we are seeing innovations within the different uses of fabrics. Everything from the way we use typical fabrics, all the way to the new materials that we have begun to use in garment production. We have found different uses for leather, pleather, wool and polyester. Some designers have even discovered ways of creating elaborate pieces by using plastic as well as fiberoptic material.
3D printing is something that has taken the world by storm. Designers have begun to create intriquite patterns and shapes with the printers to create some of the most unique garments and designs that have graced the catwalk.
The world is slowly becoming more and more conscious about the environment. Several companies have developed ways of creating clothing that reduce overseas production, limit the cost of labor, and provide affordable, high quality clothing by introducing what is known as “Farm to Table�. The process involves finding direct resources for cotton and wool and importing them directly from the source to the manufacturer where the produce all products in house.
There is a lot of talk about organic things. Food, drinks, and even clothes just to name a few. One company has figured out a way to actually grow material for clothing. Using micro-biological organisms, they have created a process that develops the material to be biodegradable.
